Announcements:

The following players are dead:

Spak-Spang - Townie (Killed by vote)
ShyGuy - Townie (Killed by Shere Khan)
Mop it up - Townie (Killed by Man)

That's a lot of animal abuse going on right there. This brings the total number of players down to 8. We've lost half of the players we started with. We're entering the final stages now where there is less room for players to hide and the jungle doesn't provide the camouflage it once did.

It also means the majority vote for today is 5 but we never seem to reach that point. The day will still have the usual 48 hour maximum applied to it if necessary meaning it will end about 8:30 PM EST on Tuesday Aug. 2 if it takes that long.

That is all. Get to voting.

Think about it, he's been there pushing us on, unless he gives a good argument, I'm voting for him.

Ouch, sorry Spak, Shy, and Mop. :( Just to explain myself, I thought Spak was mafia, because he kept voting for Stevey, a player who has yet to appear in these threads, when we know both the Mafia and the Killer are active. I simply thought he was trying to stay out of conflict just so he could keep striking us. My apologies Spak.

Now, I had a post detailing all of my reasons why I think Insanolord is mafia, but I'm going to retract my vote for the moment. Something doesn't feel right at the moment with the joke votes for him. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I'm going to table the vote for now.

But I'm keeping my eye on you, Insanolord.

Well put, NorthSea. I was going to vote for him last round but as you have already mentioned, Spak's Stevey votes were highly suspect considering that Stevey hasn't even been to the forum during the entire game and both the mafia and killer are active. No hard feelings, Spak.

I like the way this guy thinks. I'm sure there was some other stuff in that post but I think I was able to whittle it down to its bare essentials.

Haha, I'm glad you enjoyed that. If you hadn't sent that mass PM, I wouldn't be here now, so there's truth to that. I think I'll definitely stick around on the forums, even once the game finishes.

Vote Insanolord for not banning the players who are in the Mafia along with the Killer and thus saving us all from this mess. My blood is in your hands.

This time it's Purr-sonal.

Hmmm. Well, pokepal148 convinced me to change my vote against Insanolord. Because he let the mafia and killer live, they were able to take pokepal148 out of the game and I think we all would count that as a win. I guess you have to take the good with the bad when it comes Insanolord and I'll leave it to the remaining players to decide whether they will accept that and put up with him or not.

It looks like I'm being targeted today. So to defend myself and damn Insanolord, let's look at this objectively, shall we?

On the first day, I voted for Dasmos while Insanolord wanted to force a tie, and could have, but didn't vote. Dasmos was mafia.

On the second day, I voted for Stratos because of Dasmos's and Perm's unwillingness to vote for him despite it being able to save Dasmos's life. Once again, Insanolord didn't vote. Instead, he pushed us to believe that Pokepal was mafia. Stratos, unfortunately, was a townie. But so was Pokepal who was killed during the night.

Because of the evidence above, I first voted for Insanolord on the third day. But then Spak made yet another Stevey vote who I am positive is not the godfather due to his inactivity on the forum in general. To me, that was more suspicious than Insanolord. I was wrong about Spak.

On the other hand, Insanolord's only vote in this entire game came on Day 3. It was for Lucario, for the simple reason to "protect himself." I understand if Insanolord wanted to be coy. I haven't given an explanation for a vote myself until today. But Insanolord has always been forthcoming when it comes to what to do or who to vote for, even though he's never followed through. He's always been open about what he thinks should be the decision we make until Day 3.

And that brings us to today, here he is riding a bandwagon with his second vote all game. From pushing for a tie when Dasmos was mafia, to pushing for Pokepal when he was a townie, to voting for Lucario to simply "protect himself", to finally voting for me, the one who's gut instinct lead a kill on Dasmos.

You guys make your decision. I have already made mine.

EDIT: I'd also like to point out that Nickmitch has been on my radar since the second day. His revenge vote against Tophatant on day 1 notwithstanding, he's the only active player who hasn't voted till today. And it was paired with Insanolord...hmmmm. There's only two mafia left. If one of them was being actively targeted by the community, you'd expect to see a paired vote by them in order to protect themselves. And before Northsea changed his vote, that target was Insanolord.

Hypotheliciously is definitely someone you want to vote against.  His voting record is questionable at best, and his attempts at defending it are cheap misdirects at best.

He calls into question my voting record (or lack thereof).  Well, let me point out that as one of the most experienced players, I know the first few days of voting are speculative at best.  That is, unless you have intel.  I don't, so my best bet is to protect myself.  Also, why would I be on his radar on day 2?  I hadn't done anything.  He's lying to steer votes away from himself. My vote was paired with insanolord's?  I voted first, he could've been following me.  Or maybe I followed Lucario?  All 3 of us can't be mafios in cahoots.

The safest bet now is against people who have steered bandwagons towards townies.  If you get it wrong, you either stand down and regroup or you keep going because that's your plan all along.  That's his plan all along.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Animal Kingdom, I urge you to vote against this menace.  Put an end to his reign of terror now.

Nickmitch, I've explained each vote as best I can. You can argue my logic, but you can't call them misdirects. Each time I voted, I thought those players were mafia. Period.

I said you can join me and I can hand you the win. But instead you're fighting against me. It must be because you think I'd kill you instead. A townie would give my offer real consideration, while mafia would fight against me. Checkmate, buddy.

If I am voted out or not, my impact on the game is sealed. If I die, you will see my name and the word "Man" next to it and know that everything I've said is the truth.

Sorry, it's really the only play I could've made.  You lumped me and someone I was suspecting as mafia into a pair, all the while exposing yourself.  Unfortunately, while I don't know for sure about others, I'm not mafia.  I'm a townie.  So, your PM was either an intriguing gambit you sent to other pairs, or you just slightly missed the mark.  I dunno.  Either way, killers gotta be killed.

The way I see it, one or both of you are mafia. It didn't really matter if you were or not, all that matter was one of you were. It clinches the game for the townies either way (the team I'm more partial too).

And "killers gotta be killed", is something I wouldn't expect to hear from an experienced player.

Only reason would be if he's mafia, then he could "show his hand" and steer votes around as he pleased.  The "real" killer might back off him, unless that player was targeted, since a few misguided kills could lead to his victory.
