Just like to say that I've thought about it a lot and listened over and over again to the other themes and BOTW is, in my opinion, the best written main theme Zelda has ever had. This is not including Zelda's main theme, just game to game main themes. It's crazy to think that I could make this conclusion despite what we have to listen to being so short, but the chord progression is simply too good.

I'm not sure if you've seen this yet but this guy does an amazing job of analyzing the music for the game and even finds a few interesting things in the main theme.

That was a fantastic analysis. I've heard a lot of people describe BoTW as "painterly" or "in the style of Miyazaki", but never someone go into depth about how it's actually an example of Impressionism.

It's just insane to think that all the things we're seeing are still in just the first 2% of the game.  Everything we've seen so far is basically the early tutorial stage, no different then Kokiri Village or Outset Island in previous 3D Zelda's.  Who knows what other items and gameplay variety that's going to be in the final version, which I can't even comprehend considering everything we've seen from the early demo is already pretty mindblowing.

I dont want another No Mans Sky.
No Man's Sky hype and backlash was all because ignorant people who never in their entire life even knew about the existence of space sims suddenly wanted to like them. Any person who is remotely aware of the genre could have told that procedurally generated universe had been done already in 1993 and what to actually expect.

2 hours of analysis:

Last half when he basically reconstructs the entire map of the game from bits and pieces of videos is especially impressive.

I only watched bits and pieces of the E3 coverage after the trailer so I've been slowly getting through Gamexplain's analysis. So many puns...

The map analysis is insane.

It's probably not worth going through the whole thing if you've watched a ton of footage already. The fact that Gamexplain managed to piece together the world map is probably the most impressive bit. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have noticed that the three white flowers around the Master Sword pedestal in Breath of the Wild are similarly placed to the white flowers in A Link to the Past.

I'm still in the converged timelines camp. It could explain a lot of things. Calamity Ganon being the fused form of Ganon from all three timelines that subsequently hunted down and murdered every Link while the sages resurrected the only Link not erased from existence: Noob Link from the Hero is Defeated Timeline. Also, all the sages are the various incarnations of Zelda. Boom. A nice bit of redemption for the only Link that managed to fail in a universe of happy endings.

I ended up watching most of the video, I skipped the timeline stuff at the end. Its very interesting, they have got a lot of information out of all that.

About the timeline, I really dont think it matters. I preferred it when Nintendo said there was no timeline, before Hyrule Historia was a thing.

There is a rumour that NoA is going to give out timed demo (25-26 of Decemeber) for BotW for players who have more than 5 Zelda games on their Wii U and 3DS...
