Hopefully the Wii U version sells well enough that a good port of Resident Evil 6 is brought to the Wii U.

I predict if it gets pointer controls on the Wii U, it will get Move support on the PS3.

True, but that means digging up my Move, & unfortunately while the Move is a pretty good Motion Control device compared to the Wiimote, it is a TERRIBLE pointing device. But I guess it depends on the game, b/c while it was completely useless for the Wonderful World of Color that is Child of Eden, it was...ok with House of the Dead Overkill.
There was a Signature here. It's gone now.

I was considering getting the 3DS game since it's getting cheap, but I might wait for this instead.

If you don't have it ready, you absolutely should wait. It's like $30 on 3DS last time I checked and the console versions are $20 more with a decent amount of extra content. Good deal in my opinion. Playing on a TV is a major selling point. If you don't get the Wii U version, you miss out on how much the touchscreen adds to the game, but it's probably more than playable without it.

Your pricing estimate is off.  Amazon.com has it for $20 right now and prices have dipped under $15 occasionally - a steal of a deal for one of the best games on 3DS.

Although I agree that the console versions sound awesome and will add some great content (including new weapons, new characters for Raid Mode, a new enemy, a new difficulty setting, and random enemy placement in some mode) the pricing and immediate availability of the 3DS game makes it an appealing alternative.

Plus you get 3D graphics in the portable version without needing a 3D-capable TV setup - and Resident Evil Revelations looked really good in 3D! Not yet sure if console versions will have 3D support.

There's gotta be better incentives for Revelations selling well.

I predicted disappointed people, because this is Capcpom we're talking about here.

It wasn't an estimate. That's how much it was last time I checked. I don't typically go out of my way to look at the prices of games I already own, but I'll pass by them in stores whilst perusing other games. That said, the other week Revelaitons was still $30 at Best Buy.

In any case, if I knew a console version was coming, I would just get the console version, especially if it came with extras. I don't regret getting the game on 3DS though. That was the best game I played last year.

I predict disappointment because this is gaming we are talking about. The internet will whine no matter what.

Fair enough. But for people trying to decide which to buy, the price difference may be significant enough to make the 3DS version a better deal right now. Depends on how you want to experience the game.

I do wonder if my reaction to Revelations would be the same on a big screen as what it is on a portable console. Even if the game doesn't change, my expectation might. Interested to see how people react to this release.

I was reading comments on a few sites. Some are pissed that there's no Vita release for all 7 Vita owners out there. Others are huffing and puffing how a port of a portable game isn't worth $50 which misses the point entirely. Games on dedicated handheld gaming devices (i.e. not smartphones/tablets) have reached a level of parity with home consoles minus the graphics (for Vita, that's not really true). If there was no 3DS version of Revelaitons, no one would say that it plays like a portable game.

Breaking: people like to complain.

Remember when the 3DS game was supposed to be $50 and people raised holy hell and forced Capcom to lower it to $40?

Bet those same people will not say a word now that it's being ported to consoles (and PC).

Read the post above mine; there are already people complaining that $50 is too much for a port of a handheld game.

Most of the reaction I've seen falls into two camps:

1) PC people who are "Sweet, this'll be $12 on a Steam sale by the summer".
2) Console people who are "WTF mate".

Like I said, if the Wii U version has pointer controls as an option, I'm buying it day one and Capcom can have my $50 right now if they want. If not, I'll probably wait for a price drop.

Oh look, I have company. Hello friend, can we talk about the game, months after everyone else has forgotten about it, together?
