Dead link, and a search on the site shows no stories about a game with that name

I have never heard of this site, so I am skeptical of believing them.

I'm inclined to believe it simply because it's not a trophy list.

Get excited.
I presume you haven't played this on 3DS. If not, have fun. It's excellent.

I can't get excited for this because I already played the game and I don't have a 360 anyway. I'm glad more people get to enjoy it though.

I'd buy this for Wii U, especially if it supported pointer controls. On 360 I have no interest.

I've never really understood the appeal of the Resident Evil series. I'm a stickler for good controls and I'm not really a fan of the survival horror genre (with exceptions: Eternal Darkness, Shattered Memories). I have been meaning to pick up Revelations though. I think I'm more likely to enjoy a survival horror game if it's broken up into segments or levels, and from what I understand that's what Revelations does.

If you've never played RE4, then you've missed out on the best game since Ocarina of Time up to that point.

I would add Chrono Trigger into that list as well.

Yeah, if you've only played the pre-4 games, know that everything RE4 and after is completely different, basically a third person shooter. I ignored the series after playing and hating the Resident Evil remake on GameCube, and only played RE4 on the Wii at a friend's house, which completely won me over.

RE on GameCube was effing great! The controls are horrible by 2001 standards, but it was a remake after all.

I played Resident Evil 4 on Wii and thought it was enjoyable. I think it's fair to say I don't hold in as high regard as some gamers do, but that's ok.

I've just checked by Book of Historical Facts and it seems that Metroid Prime is better than RE 4. Your statement is, therefore, incorrect.  ;D

I stand corrected. It's really not fair too even talk about certain games being great unless you take out certain games like Ocarina of Time and Metroid Prime, since they are so far above just about anything else.

Gamecube had some real jewels didn't it? Eternal Darkness, Luigi's Mansion, Rogue Leader, Pikmin, Metroid Prime, Windwaker, Resident Evil 4, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Four Swords Adventure, Super Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, Tales of Symphonia...

True.

@ShyGuy

I was actually thinking about this the other day, oddly while playing Majora's Mask (I was thinking about what that game might have looked like had it been delayed a year or two and released on Gamecube. My mind wanders.)

No one can deny that the Gamecube had some fantastic games, but the Gamecube ultimately ended up being a rather boutique console that catered directly to an increasingly insular Nintendo faithful. For as much as I personally loved the system (just look at the games you've mentioned!), I still think the decisions Nintendo took with the Wii were necessary to help them break out of that cycle.

Still, I get kind of nostalgic for that era of Nintendo.

London, UK. — January 22nd, 2013 — Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today confirmed that Resident Evil™ Revelations will release at retail for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Windows® PC and Nintendo’s Wii U™ console across North America on May 21st and Europe on May 24th 2013. The title will also be available to download digitally from the same dates on PlayStation®3 for €49.99 and Windows®PC for €39.99 with details on digital versions for Xbox 360® and Nintendo’s Wii U™ console to follow.

Complete with high quality HD visuals, enhanced lighting effects and an immersive sound experience, the fear that was originally brought to players in Resident Evil Revelations on the Nintendo 3DSâ„¢ system returns redefined for home consoles. Furthermore, the home console version will deliver additional content including a terrifying new enemy, extra difficulty mode and improvements to Raid Mode such as new weapons, skill sets and the opportunity to play as Hunk and other characters from the series. Raid Mode, which was first introduced to the series in the original version of Resident Evil Revelations, sees gamers play online in co-op mode or alone in single player, taking on the hordes of enemies across a variety of missions whilst levelling up characters and earning weapon upgrades.

The critically acclaimed survival horror title takes players back to the events that took place between Resident Evil™ 4 and Resident Evil™ 5 and reveals the truth about the T-Abyss virus. Resident Evil Revelations features series favourites Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, plus respective BSAA partners – Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat. The action begins on board a supposedly abandoned cruise ship, the ‘Queen Zenobia’, where horrors lurk around every corner, before players head for the mainland and the devastated city of Terragrigia. With limited ammo and weapons available the race is on to survive the horror of Resident Evil Revelations.

Resident Evil Revelations will take full advantage of Residentevil.net with content available to users once the game launches. Players can pre-register on the service from January 24th to gain early access to Resident Evil Revelations themed content with further information about online events to be revealed closer to launch.

Fantastic news. I was kind of hoping for a lower price point... but that'll fix itself in a couple months after release.  Hopefully this means other people will get to enjoy this entry in the Resident Evil series as much as I already have.

Well, now that this is officially announced, I'm definitely getting rid of my 3DS copy ASAP. I'm tired of waiting for Nintendo to announce the XL CPP for North America, and the game controls like crap without it IMO.  I'll just play the game on my PS3 and probably enjoy it much better anyway, though I have to admit the idea of playing it on Wii U w/ proper pointer controls is definitely appealing.

I predict if it gets pointer controls on the Wii U, it will get Move support on the PS3.
