I yern to own as many games as possible yet I always sell something.
It takes a while though before I trade in a game.
I mostly trade import games though because you can't rent them to see if you like them first. So I go by reviews, but I'm very optimistic too, so a 7 wouldn't discourage a purchase knowing full well there are games with better scores out there.
In the past though after playing a some of those better games I was left wondering how such a game could ever get such a high score. Resident Evil (remake) and Animal Crossing.
AC: is basically a gambling game, meaning the whole game is centered around chance which is addictive to some but painfully boring to me. I haven't sold AC yet though because my brother likes it, so it is basically played with him. But don't leave me alone with those animals, and pulling up weeds for superficial unappreciative creatures is not something I want to develope an unhealthy attatchment to.
I do like the graphics though.
(really.)
RE: I'm sorry but I had already played "Alone in the Dark" and when the dog jumped through the window in that game I got me scared. Still in the end RE got the credit and still does: See Egm's Greatest Gaming Moments in the Halo 2 (cover) issue November 2002 page 254.
Plus the fact that it was a total rip off of AitD, which everyone seemed to forget left me cold.
That and it's sluggish movement and pace (the control being lifted from the PS1 title. Capcom didn't even include analogue control for it or RE Zero.) and that it was not really scarey anymore (if ever) put it below my other titles.
I bought it shamefully for the GC only because at the time I had no visually arresting games, or any since SSBM and Rougue Leader, as well as before Eternal Darkness and Metroid Prime.
Other games I sold are imports Like P.N.0, but that's import so I can't talk about it here.
Besides those titles Luigi's mansion and Pikmin still get played. Rougue Leader and Smash Brothers mostly though. Metroid Prime is loved but I've unlocked mostly everything and Eternal darkness I finished long ago.
as for non Nintendo related titles I have the Sims (new!) and Tony Hawk 4 these games get as much play as SSBM, and I'm looking for more titles like Splinter Cell (I rented this game, and it may be the next game I buy), and Nightfire which I plan on picking up soon.
