My kids are 2 and 6, they are old enough to get jobs and buy their own stuff anyway, so you get your money back.

LOL. I nominate Brandogg for NWR's #1 Dad of 2012!

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Can you hack 360's and PS3's despite the firmware they are on?

360 yes, PS3 you will have to use a hardware flasher to downgrade to 3.55 or lower if you're on anything higher than that.

Not once. Maybe when I wasn't there, but I never encountered someone asking about it.

Actually, I think charging people money for you to hack their system is technically illegal, whereas doing it yourself isn't.

Oh, I see. That's understandable. It's just that a lot of tutorials online seem untrustworthy and I figured someone like Brandogg to be more so.

People would have to be under the false assumption that GameStop employees are knowledgeable folks. :P

Maybe the reason they don't want knowledgeable employees is because knowledgeable employees might know enough to try and talk a customer out of a purchase.

It's actually not even illegal to charge someone to hack their system as far as I know, it's just too much bullshit that would come with it because all these punk kids would whine about their pirated games not working, and that's something I'm not prepared to deal with or even very knowledgeable about. Hacking someone's system and showing them how or telling them how to pirate games would be illegal, but this kind of stuff falls into the head shop type category, I believe. They can sell bongs, but you have to say it's for smoking tobacco, and they aren't allowed to tell you where you can buy weed.

Maybe the reason they don't want knowledgeable employees is because knowledgeable employees might know enough to try and talk a customer out of a purchase.

Knowledgeable employees are questioning employees. You don't make management by being knowledgeable, and managers certainly don't want to look stupid in comparison to their underlings. Retail outlets in particular are no place for thought or insight. They hate you if you're clever, yet they despise a fool.

They can sell bongs, but you have to say it's for smoking tobacco, and they aren't allowed to tell you where you can buy weed.

And it's borderline illegal to possess said bong, even if it was legally purchased. The second some limp-dicked cop has a hard-on for you, it gets written up as paraphernalia.
