i think the dude is hilarious, but he's sort of a poor man's jonah hill

Repo-Men B I liked it but it wasn't spectacular. I remembered the hint for the ending, and i knew something was coming with the saccharine vista at the end. The movie could have ended 5 minutes before it ended. I thought the sadomasochist part was fun i thought. I guess im pretty unphased by the violence, the only thing that ever gets me is pulsing blood.

Hot Tub Time Machine - Awesome/10

Rob Cordry got old quick, but the rest of the movie holds together very well. Also had two unbelievably good-looking women in it (albeit briefly): Jessica Parr (hottub girl) and Diora Baird (wife of the dude with the gun).

Clash of the Titans (1981)

Not as good as I remembered / 10

Man, this movie takes a long time to get going.  The first hour is dull, dull, DULL.  Second half picks up, but man, is this thing ever cheesy.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Fantastic Mr. Fox 9/10

Fantastic Mr. Fox is a stop motion animated movie which is based off the children's novel written by Roald Dahl. Wes Anderson (The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou) is the writer and director of the movie. This was one of the best movies I have seen in a while. The animation, humor and soundtrack were all top notch.

I saw the trailer for it Wednesday night during an ESPN commercial break, and I couldn't help but think "wow, it's God of War: The Movie."  :-\

yeah, i remember watching Clash of the titans in my 7th grade English class because we were studying the Iliad and making up our own Mytholoogy/Religion. Looking at my project, i like totally made something that ended up looking like Sumerian mythology without ever knowing about sumerian mythology. I thought clash of the titans was awesome, but when i went to re-watch it it was not as cool.

Jason and The Argonauts though gets a 9/10, thgis movie is older than clash of the Titans, but has really aged alot better.

I know, but watching that trailer just reminded me so much of God of War III's trailers and intro.

Clash  7/10

Not too bad.  The 3D was a bit dodgy though.  It was an afterthought and it shows.  Some scenes are only half done.  But the awesomeness of Liam Neeson bumps the rating up a point.

im not interested in watching every movie in 3D, I see people taking points off for it not being very good 3d, but even avatar I dont think 3d really improved it a lot.

With Avatar, was it a lot of POP out 3D, a lot of Depth 3D or a combination of both?

Clash of the titans (3d) 5/10?

it was pretty meh actually and the 3d wasnt even great either. In fact it made some of the more action packed sceneds super blury. Oh well.

Well the problem with 3d is if your eyes adjust, you forget its 3d for a while. I didn't watch the movie twice, but i think in the middle of the movie they cranked the 3d pop and depth down only to bring it up at the end. I really remember noticing 3d alot at first, and then that lessening during the movie, and then at the end there were some good 3d bits.

So, people universally dislike the new Clash?! HA !

Avatar only had a few instances that I can clearly remember seeing the image pop.

I haven't seen it yet, but I just rented Ninja Assassin from RedBox and as a first time rental experience, it was rather quick and painless.

Total trip time was 5 minutes. that leaving, arriving, signing up, renting and then returning home. 5 freaking minutes.

No wonder Blockbuster is going under. I didn't have to walk around a store looking for a movie, I didn't have to wait in line and it only cost a dollar.

Blockbuster subscription was canceled just a few hours ago too. Looks like it was a good move as the nearest Blockbuster is about a 10-15 minute drive out of the way since teh one down the street closed down. Red Box is literally everywhere, and combined with a Netflix subscription....... I'll never have to worry about not having what I want to watch ready to watch when I want to watch it.
:thumbsup; :thumbsup; (for a 1st time experience)

if blockbuster would just lower their new release price to $1.00 or 80c then they would have nothing to worry about. Compete yo!
