Of coarse. I have a Seel and Grimer, so I will soon evolve those two. I will let you know when I get Groudon (at which point you could then let me borrow Kyogre to also get Rayquaza).

I also think that happiness based evolutions are a pain in the butt; i've been working for hours to get Budew to evolve into Roselia, and then I have to do it again with Chingling to get it to evolve into Chimeco and then twice for Eevee into Espeon/Umbreon. I am just glad that the majority of happiness evolutions are just baby Pokemon into the normal forms.

Hal, do you still have your copy of Pokemon Platinum? If so, if you only have 1 DS then we could help each other out.I just evolved my Magnemite into Magneton. I was wondering if you would be willing to let me trade it to your Platinum, you evolve level it up at Mt. Coronet so it evolves into Magnezone, then you trade it back to me (and I could trade it to your HeartGold so you get credit too).

I also have a Dewgong now to gt you credit for.

I finally got a trade done on the GTS and got a Cyndaquil. It was from someone in California though, I was hoping for someone outside of the US so I could unlock the Beyond the Seas Pokewalker route (you unlock the route by doing a international trade on the GTS). It's though though since you have idiots wanting stuff like a level 100 Regigigas for a Spearow.

I HAVE RETURNED.

I've improved my Pokedex. Now I have all the fossil evolutions, Victreebell, and Sealeo. I will be busy today until this evening, at which point I'll be able to trade again.

I've improved mine quite a bit too, I now have all 3 legendary birds and have been spending a lot of time leveling up ones that evolve that way. I freaking hate happiness evolutions because they are annoying.

My togechic evolved after one level.  I was most surprised.

"Togechic"? Leveling up is not the only way to make them happier. Leveling up adds 2 points, walking 256 steps adds 1 point, giving them haircuts/massages adds points, giving them vitamins adds points, etc. Doing this while having them hold a Soothe Bell speeds it up since it doubles how many points they get (as does any Pokemon caught with a Luxury Ball).

I just caught my first real shiny in the game (meaning not counting the Gyarados in Lake of Rage), it was a shiny Rapidash.

Nice. I've yet to find a single non-event shiny in any pokemon game.

Good to know walking helps with happiness. I need to fix my walker so I can use it for that purpose.

I don't think that helps, I think it only applies to walking with them in your party (but I am not 100% sure as the guide I looked at didn't mention the Pokewalker).

I see, I assumed you meant the walker when you mentioned steps. Would be handy if it did work. Dump those happiness evolution pokemon on the walker for a week and transfer them back and it's an easy evolution from that point.

Spyke, from personal experience, I can say that the Pokewalker increases happiness.

That sure would have sped things up for me. The only Pokemon I still would need to evolve with happiness is Rioulu (which I don't have one yet) into Lucario.

Is it just me, or is the prize for winning the Bug Catching Contest almost always a Dusk Stone or Thunderstone? I've gotten like three of each, and one Leaf Stone. All I want is a Fire Stone, Water Stone, or Moon Stone!

Since getting the National Dex I have one the contest 3 times; I got 1 Dusk Stone, 1 Thunderstone, and 1 Moon Stone. The Moon Stone is a waste to me since you can get one for free every Monday night.

Are you as annoyed by the changes to the Game Corner as I am? Thanks to anti-gambling laws in Europe, the English versions of the game have that stupid Voltorb game now. I don't mind the game itself, but you can't just buy coins now (which is what I did so I could get Porygon, winning 9999 coins is beyond my patience. I may have to do it, although it will probably take over a week).
