The frog dissection in Bully looked better.

Where's Daaman64 for the obligatory "Bully is so good" post? ;)

Bully is so good, I'd rape EasyCure to play it again.

But couldn't you just put the game back in your Wii and start over again?

or is the raping of EC just because you can.

This little exchange reminds me of this radio show i used to listen to from time to time where the guys (and the one girl) used to have this gimmick; the Gay bell.

wtf are you listening to Nerdfit? Alpha Bromega? 2 guys 1 mic?

Is it even relevant? I don't even remember the name they went buy cuz it didn't really matter, it was just an entertaining show that sounds nothing like the **** you're implying.

Right right. I'm sorry that I forgot that asking questions purely out of curiosity was against INTERNET LAW, and that any such questions should be responded to with snippy, rude remarks, and baseless ad hominem.

Forgive me for assuming your comment was snippy and rude and replying in the same tone.

Oh and thanks broodwars for the synopsis. I've only played SH1 for a few mins but didn't really know what was going on, and I've had some background on the series but this'll be my first real entry. It's good to have some extra info going in.

Wow, that "ice" transition inside the cabin in the gameplay video is horrible.  You can literally see the game just swap the textures on those walls with no animation whatsoever.  Still, that's the closest to actual gameplay I've seen of this game yet.  Most just show Harry wandering around without having anything threatening him.

There's only so much you can gleam  from a guy walking around.  You don't see puzzles, enemy encounters, or even this game's version of the famous Silent Hill Otherworld in the gameplay videos usually.  Just walking around and an occasional conversation cinematic in the snow.  Even Silent Hill 2 has more gameplay than that, and that's saying something.  As far as I'm concerned you might as well just have 7 minutes of the logo flashing on a black background for as much detail as you get on how the game works, especially since according to NWR's most recent Impressions if you wander around aimlessly like these "gameplay videos" usually show you get killed by packs of monsters within minutes.  This video is different, and I noted that I appreciate that.

The capture was terrible (did I just see VHS noise lines?), the player was terrible, and the video's too small for me to make the 'swap textures' claim.  To its credit, the player was allowed to run into AN ENEMY of sorts; thanks for being generous, Konammy.

This is the kind of game i'd spend great lengths of time just looking and investigating every object around me anyway; i don't know how much time previous demo players were allowed to have with it, forcing them to end video capturing before they got anywhere interesting.

I like the look-behind-you camera view. I can see myself getting completely lost when the town transforms.

And third excuse makers think we Nintendo fans can't understand this.

Then again, the majority liked Snake in Brawl. Sad me.

This. Running away from enemies honestly looks like the most boring and uninteresting part of the game. Investigating all the weird stuff you find around builds on top of the already tense and mysterious atmosphere, which is going to be the best part of the game.

Anyone else see that this game has apparently slipped...again...from an early November release to December 8th?  I'm really tempted to just cancel my pre-order now and put it towards A Boy and His Blob.  At this rate, who knows when Silent Hill's coming out...

I somehow doubt that this 1-month delay has anything to do with polish.  I get the feeling that they failed the Nintendo submission process and were forced to fix something that violated a Nintendo Standard.  The typical submission process is about a month, so that sounds about right.  Either that, or they wanted to get out of the way of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, which comes out within 1 1/2 weeks of the original release date.

If it's the 1st one, then good, it obviously needed something tweaked and I'm glad they are fixing it.
If it's the 2nd one, then they should have brought it out sooner, not later.

Multi-month delays show they are making improvements to the game's quality. One month delays show they are trying to slap one more coat of flaw-covering paint on a product before throwing it out the door to die.

I'm gonna wait to see some reviews before I take the plunge with this game. Maybe it just didn't demo well, but I'm just not sure how long I can wander around with a flashlight and sometimes run away from poorly-textured ragdolls.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

Indeed.  Not only that, though, but I'm really starting to wonder just how much confidence Konami has in this game, because I've seen absolutely no marketing for this game in several months (if ever).  The game was only recently delayed, and prior to that it was only a month away from release, and yet nothing but silence out of Konami about the game.  Now that they've delayed the game to just before Christmas (and after both the mega-releases of NSMB Wii and Modern Warfare 2 have come out), I'd say the game needs the marketing more than ever.  And yet...silence.  I know "silent" is part of the game's name, but if they don't get the ball rolling this will be yet another poor-selling Wii 3rd party game.

Well, there's a guaranteed multi-million seller being released on the 13th so maybe they didn't want to go up against that?

Multi-month delays show they are making improvements to the game's quality. One month delays show they are trying to slap one more coat of flaw-covering paint on a product before throwing it out the door to die.
Super Smash Brothers Brawl had a one month delay before it was released, so your theory might be right...

SH misses out on October/Halloween festivities -- DUD.

SH misses fails at Turkey-themed, Father-Daughter Thanksgiving bash window due to invasion of Plumbers and Mushroom People -- DUD.

SH repositions for Cold Icy Blue Christmas, something's knocking at your door at it ain't Santa nor the Wet Bandits (just slimy faceless FLESH PEOPLE) -- a 3rd party December to Remember?

Good job Konami, you just gave October away to Ju-On: The Budget Grudge Flashlight Game, the new standard in Wii Flashlight Gaming.
