I must nominate that game for the Retro gaming feature on RFN!
Yes, Superman 64 is definitely worthy of a topic of discussion for any retroactive feature. Few seem to realize that this game's excellence has yet to be matched, much less surpassed.
It's metaphoric fog can be interpreted in many ways. It could represent Superman's isolation from society. It could mean Superman is really near-sighted. Or perhaps, it could simply be due to the burrito that Superman had eaten; this would explain why the fog is worse indoors. No ventilation.
It also contains all of the elements which make a good game:
-Blurred or non-existent textures
-NES-quality music
-Unclear level goals
-Enemies can attack you during cutscenes
-An X-Ray Vision powerup which does absolutely nothing, as X-Ray Vision would be too awesome for most people to handle.
-Tacked-on first-person shooter multiplayer mode that always ends with all players getting face-to-face and mashing the "Z" button until there's only one player left.
This game is truly epic and worthy of every accolade it receives.
