Unfortunately they've seeped into the vocabulary, and it's going to take awhile to enact the cultural change to replace them with more positive concepts.

Non-game and non-gamer are pretty silly, but there is a need to specify those games from other games, just like any other genre.

Any suggestions?

Personally, games like WiiFit are actually apps in that they are supposed to be appllied in order to reach a goal. Brain Age and others fit into this app group. However, there are games like Animal Crossing that don't really fit anywhere. It's like a virtual world where there is no goal but to entertian yourself. Those games are more like toys, in that they take extra creativity from the user to make them more entertaining.

I don't think that what are currently labeled as "non-games" really need to have a label.

Wii Sports is a sports game.
Wii Play is a minigame collection.
Wii Fit is a physical fitness game.
Wii Music is a music/rhythm game.

There's really no need for distinction beyond that.

Do I really REALLY want a new Mario, Zelda or more core franchise? Definately but I can also get excited for casual oriented games as well if they are good. I think I'm the first step in gamer evolution, a gamer/non-gamer hybrid!

Yeah, one is a strategy game and the other is a button-masher. But they are both still games.

Well, on the bright side at least hardly anyone uses the "kiddie" slur anymore. It would be kinda hard for them to use that when a large number of "gamers" who play these "games" are middle-aged and over.

But are they really "games" or are they just exercises and activities for the elderly?

Watching LIVE on G4 commercial free.

The thing about the xrayd pics, is that if you look at the original pics (on IGN) you can already see same object through the cover.
The xrayd pics are actually filtered in photoshop to make the things you could see stand out a little bit more.
