Yes Shredder and April are in the game.

Did it look to anyone else like all of the in-game footage was in slow-mo? It's good to hear from the impressions that Donatello is still a top fighter (at least, that's how I remember him in Turtles in Time).

I am a big Ninja Turtle Fan, and only until I grew up did I really understand how lame bebop and rocksteady were. I say the only characters that should be in the game are the comic characters. If you are worried about more cool characters here is a list for you.

Leatherhead - Big awesome aligator dude!
Triceriton - space alien triceritops warrior!
Miyamoto Usagi - Awesome swordsman rabbit!
Rat King - Come on you know!
Homato Yoshi - Splinters master!
Karia - Shredders daighter!

There are plenty man, and the Utrom in the battle suit is basicly what krang was, well Krangs inspiration. But please leave those other losers out!

The more I think about the cartoon Rat King, the more awesome I imagine him to be.

Like, these days he'd be more realistically portrayed as a non-casual gamer blogger, still wrapped in bandage rags and posting bad things about the Wii from a dark sewer room.

I just finished up a meeting with my friend in the reviews industry and I asked him why all the media of the game looked floaty or muddy as far as the movements go, his only answer was that it is about the same speed as the original Smash Bros on 64...

I highlighted the ones I recognize, but never seen the last two.
& I only include Tokah & Razar because they were in the movie & Rocksteady & Bebop because they were in the Arcade game. Those are two things that Turtles related that were very popular at one point and would be a selling point.

Besides, if having those 4 extra characters bumped the roster up to a respectable 20 characters, they I say go for it. It's not like I'm gonna buy the game anyway, but a few more player options aren't gonna hurt this game.

In the cartoon Homato Yoshi was Splinters teacher before Splinter changed.

I think he was only in the first episode.
Karai I think was in Tournament Fighters.

In the original cartoon from the 80's splinter was the master transformed into that rat, in the original movie (live action) splinter was a pet that watched his owner.

Step back noobs! Well actually you guys got it pretty much down. Homato Yoshi was Splinters Master, Miyamoto met the turtles in the Battle Nexus Tournament, and he and Leo became pretty close. After Shredder was killed his duaghter took control of the foot. She was the leader of the foot ninja in the latest animated movie remember?

I would love to see Bebop and Rocksteady in the game maybe with a darker edge to them like they were in the original pilot. I'm sorry but TMNT Comic fans bother me, the TMNT universe is more then the comics, it includes the 80s show, archie comics, the new show and the original comic. This elitist bull on who belongs and doesn't belong based on the comics is tiresome. TMNT was at its greatest popularity during the 80s show, without it you would not see this game and the comics would be a relic for nerds to bring up in passing. This is a game to celebrate TMNT overall not one particular incarnation but Peter Laird/Eastman in their arrogant hissy fit probably won't allow it to be so, they likes to forget they created Rocksteady and Bebop for the TV series, it was only after they became comic relief that they had anything bad to say about them. They were formidable in the pilot, even Krang was much more evil (Heck he was a mass murderer in Dimension X).

Then again few things are cooler then Shredder being cloned by worms. That R awesomez and dark.

You don't recognize Splinters master...he was in the first movie. 

As for the list of characters, Raddids have been confirmed in the game, so I am ok with more of the silly characters from the Cartoon universe.  Rat King is a must.  But I will buy the game after my time off of gaming if a certain Rabbit is included in the game.  Usagi is my favorite comic book character, period.

You ma'am/sir(I forget) couldn't be more wrong!

Seriously though, that is a valid argument, but as far as i'm concerned the only things that should count in this game are the Comic characters and the latest cartoon characters. There were Bebop and Rocksteady cameos in it, you could have them instead.
