Is a VC purchase in for me to get the most out of this new wii title??

For $5 I'd say you should definitely get Punch-Out!!. I think it could really help you appreciate the new game more.

Yes but I'd recommend Punch-Out!! over that because the new game is going to be more in line with the first game then the second.

Gotcha. I plan on beating Scarface (Wii edition) tonight, then going back to Madworld and finishing that since i hear its pretty short (i'm probably in the third level or so) so after those two, i might just squeeze in time for the original PO before the new one comes out. I better like it!

I might go. If anything it'll be an excuse to try the game out before buying it, see if its worth an immidiate purchase or if i can wait out and spend time catching up on my other games.

If Pale goes, i'll be sure to go though. I missed out on meeting him for the Mario Kart Wii event they held there, cuz he wasn't sure if he was going and i ended up oversleeping lol. Pale, don't forget the bucket hat if you do go!

If I do end up going, i'll try to take a ton of photos for NWR too.

Ya...you should probably VC first before going into this. Just from the videos, I can tell it'll definitely be helpful to first play the original and/or super punch out. Also, that way you would played the evolution of it.

Thats a good tip, but i might go just for the photo opps and not to try the game out (extensively) so it wouldn't matter if i play the other PO titles or not.

Edit I've been looking around the net and people are saying that that guy at 2:01 is Aran Ryan.You guys think that is the case.

A while back, there was a casting call on Craigslist for a rumored Punch-Out live action trailer/commercial. I think this is definitely it.

The guy that played Little Mac did a great job. He looks a lot like the character and so did the guy that played Doc Louis.

they should have gotten Carl Winslow ( Reginald VelJohnson ) for Doc Louis.

anywho are they going to use this ad infront of movies like Terminator, Star Trek, and Transformers ? It's a little long for TV

Normally I'd agree, but the clip was pretty darn funny, so it didn't bother me. Besides, we don't need anymore footage, the game will be out soon enough.
