It's probably just you.  Maybe there aren't enough emo songs on the track list for you.  ;)

damn you! good zing though, but replace 'emo' with 80's punk and your statement will be true

I'm hyped because it's coming.  It's too bad I won't be able to afford it then. *sigh*

I think the lack of guitar hero ads is because you really don't have to market the Guitar Hero name anymore.  It's kind of like how you rarely saw any Brawl tv ads.

When i do feel a bit of hype, its all for wanting to experiment with the music creator. Playing the drum parts (trying Expert first) gets me a lil excited too, not so much the guitar/bass parts since i get a "been there done that" feel. I'll try vocals while playing guitar/bass parts to up the challenge but i doubt i'll do vocals only when playing this game solo.

Besides Death Magnetic, GH3's DLC as a whole has been absolute crap. You get a 3 song pack every now and then, and usually it's a mix up of 3 crappy songs.

I'm not sure how Death Magnetic doesn't fit into the "absolute crap" category. Maybe they should try to get Master of Puppets instead?

Maybe people have different opinions then you.

That very true. Some people just have poorly thought out opinions. :P

It's really too bad that Activision is going to waste all of the good Metallica songs on a makeshift expansion pack. What's the point in having DLC when these abominable band-centric games keep coming? Rock Band 2 has Battery. :(

How is that a waste? It'll probably a much better deal that buying a ****-ton of DLC. You could easily have a Metallica GH game with 40 good songs on it, and you'd probably grow to appreciate the entire disc after playing through it.

It's a waste because it is nothing more than new songs. The music game genre does not lend itself well to sequels, especially at this point where Guitar Hero has the added instruments. If I could upload the songs into my main game (ala Rock Band) that would be fine, it'd work as the expansion pack that it should be. As is, switching discs is inconvenient at best. Certainly a much smaller set list with no added features isn't deserving of a full retail price.

Besides, I'd rather not have to play most of the stuff off of Load/ReLoad and would rather forget that St. Anger ever existed at all.

Now before you call automatic BS on this one because of Zeppelin, the fellow who leaked this info is said to be a poster called Fecal Trucker.  He has a good track record, he posted both of the correct GHWT and GH3 setlist.  But remember, salt.

Also something about a Dream Theater album has been spoken of, but I can't find the original link.

It'll be cool if some of this is true, and Elvis Presley and Led Zeppelin songs will finally be available in rhythm games... hopefully neither is GH-exclusive.

Looks like I'll have the scrilla to buy the whole thing on release day or soon after.

I got an idea - I know you could use usb drumkits on Drummania on PS2. I wonder if the 360 or PS3 kit would be compatible?

I just got an 89% on BYOB bass, so I stand by what I said about it being easier with the "open note".

I'd prefer plain ol' White Stripes.  **** the bassist.

Yeah, the White Stripes would also rock, but the Raconteurs have 100% more Brendan Benson.

Brendan Benson ftw.

Sorry, just not feelin' it.  :)

While I enjoy all Raconteurs songs, the ones written by Jack White are my favorites by far.

I agree.  The Raconteurs are very, very cool.  But White Stripes are so much more so.

Everything off Elephant would be so playable.

Well, you have to believe that if the Raconteurs are on board, the White Stripes addings songs isn't too far-fetched...

But you have to admit the fact that there's no bass part makes it seem less likely.

Come to think of it, wasn't there a Yeah Yeah Yeahs' song on RB1?  What did they do for the bass part?

I just figured, If they can have no vocals songs (Satch Boogie), they can have no Bass/drums.

Yep! Maps. I don't remember what they did right off, but they can work around it somehow, I'm sure.

They could just make you play the guitars root notes on bass but that's lame
