Now before you call automatic BS on this one because of Zeppelin, the fellow who leaked this info is said to be a poster called Fecal Trucker.  He has a good track record, he posted both of the correct GHWT and GH3 setlist.  But remember, salt.

excited? I am.

This list fills me with much more hope than GH3's did.  There's a few things I know I won't like, but this time there are also a lot more songs I'm sure I'll like.

Love Removal Machine?  OH YEAH!

I'll probably get the R.E.M. track pack on day one.  Too bad there's no R.E.M. song included with the game as a taste.  It's kind of a jerkass thing to make me have to buy the track pack to get ANY of their songs.  Hopefully it's got Driver 8.

As usual there are songs I don't like but that's the way it has to be.  Some punkass teenager who thinks songs from last year are oldies probably grumbles about all the geezer music.

"Low" (Travis Barker Remix)- Flo Rida featuring T-Pain

*throws up*

i downloaded that garbage track thinking Travis would of made a good beat on it, instead  it sounds like something Linkin Park would of remixed. I'd rather have the original track over this piece of fail.

speaking of Travis Barker though, wheres +44? I thought "when your heart stops beating" was confirmed for this. That song would be much more fun to play then Blinks "Dammit" especially on drums (since Travis wasn't even their drummer when that song was recorded..)

other than that, the set list looks great, maybe only a handful of songs i either dont like or just arent familiar with. I'm getting hyped about thie game now!

MC5's Wayne Kramer, the Sex Pistols and Motorhead will all be re-recording their songs for the game.

for the MC5 it'll be "Kick Out the Jam" (this song is completely awesome)

Sex Pistols will re-record "Pretty Vacant".  Which is very odd, because Johnny Rotten said GH3 was "Complete Rubbish". maybe he's had a turn around? or likes money?

Motorhead will deliever their classic "Overkill".

The Travis Barker Remix is retarded, I agree.  Hopefully it's an extra song and not one I'll be forced to play.

And if you're worried about not having a band in the game you like, the developers have promised at least 25 more or so songs.  So their's still plenty of space.  Personally I want Wolfmother, Frank Zappa and some Dead Milkmen in the game (dunno about the first, but the latter two don't seem to have that big of a chance).

I'd massively freak out if the Raconteurs (specifically, "Salute Your Solution") found a way to have a song included here. Their 2008 album is my favorite of the year so far. But I would also take some Devotchka ("The Enemy Guns") or for a more mellow take, Wilco (the guitarist they have on Sky Blue Sky has some of the most mind-blowingly awesome solos I've heard in a long, long time - maybe "Impossible Germany"), or hey, a song from Supergrass, maybe from their new album ("Diamond Hoo Ha Man" or "Rebel in You"). Ooh, or include some rocking female guitarist/singer, Kaki King ("Pull Me Out Alive" would work).

Man, I gotta get a grip - none of these will show up...

though maybe the Raconteurs... maybe...

First of all, having Mars Volta and Micheal Jackson on the same list is bad ass.

Second of all, no Radiohead or Bob Marley (I mean, WTF?) is failure.

And I know what your thinking: Bob Marley is too simple.

Oh, your finished? Well allow me to retort: You obviously suck at life. Reggae (ESPECIALLY Bob) is one the hardest genres to replicate well and if you look at the grooves, but more importantly, at any of the solos in his songs, you'd realize that those "simple" musicians are actually some of the greatest to have ever lived.

Where's the tribute? Where's the love?

Well, one thing I'm glad for... even if none of our bands we're hoping for show up, we can always re-make some of our favorite songs in the music editor. One of the first I'm going to do is "El Paso" by Marty Robbins.

(just hide the window if you want to listen to the song while ignoring the Steve Martin antics) :P

hm decoyman brings up something interesting...

i havent even thought of what i want to make a GHWT cover song of! i think i'll have to get my hands on the music editor first and see how well it works, then start off with something small.

because of my hype for this game i listen to music and think "man this would be awesome to have in the game" when a song has some good parts for everyone (not just guitar). Last song i heard was "Guns Of Brixton" by the clash which would be fun to jam to with some friends, but probably wouldnt sound right (the guitar parts anyway) in a recreation

I want to use it to make Guitar Hero tracks of my own songs and maybe write something new using the game.  The only problem I see is the lack of vocals.  I don't write very complicated guitar parts (aside from improvised solos) and rely a lot on the melody of the vocals to carry the songs.  When your verse is just three cords being played in a loop and the chorus is the same three cords but with a different vocal melody the resulting Guitar Hero track would be pretty dull.

But in a way that's good because writing songs that have to also work as instrumentals would provide a new challenge and probably help me grow as a song writer.

â€śParabola”, “Schism” and “Vicarious” are the THREE Tool songs confirmed.  I dunno if the actual band will in the game though.

Oh and "Demolition Man" is the song for the Police.

Wikipedia says they had a bass part, but that in live shows it was played on the keyboard.  In studio recordings, they brought in an actual bass player.  Either way, the part exists.
