I'd really like to see Killing an Arab make in onto a tracklist sometime... I fear people would see it as being politically incorrect however, despite its more obvious basis on Camus' nihilistic novel, The Stranger.

Prior to going to the concert I had heard that due to controversy Robert Smith would either sing "Kissing an Arab" or not play the song at all.  Note that song is also not on the Greatest Hits EasyCure mentioned.  But they played it at the show with the "killing" lyrics intact.  Just one of the many little things that went right that night that made it a memorable show.  They did THREE encores and I think Killing an Arab was during one of them.  The encores were more the early post-punk stuff.

Even more jealous of you than i was before. They toured around here back when i first got into them but i had no one to go with then and the tickets were too expensive. I missed them a second time simply because i didnt know they were playing.

I plan on keeping my eye on their tour schedule now, i have to see them at least once before they stop playing.

They do have a new album coming out, I believe. Last I heard however, it's going to be almost all happy, pop tunes. The second disc is apparently being held back, as it contains all of the darker, gloomy stuff. I'd prefer a mix of both, personally...

as do i, but i won't mind if the new album is more up-tune this time around seeing as the last one had some really reaaaaly gloomy stuff. Besides, even if it sounds more upbeat The Cure are masters of writing dark songs wrapped in bubblegum pop sounding music.

edit: (slightly on topic)
By the way I'd like to send my condolences to Travis Barker and his family, as well as the families of everyone involved in the unfortunate accident that took place recently

It was weird reading about Travis Barker after seeing him awkwardly pimp GH: World Tour at E3.  I hope he recovers, even though I absolutely despise Blink 182 and every band like them.

Blinks not so bad compared to some of the bands they get lumped together with. I think if it wasnt for Travis Barker they wouldn't of grown the way they did over the course of their last three albums.
I don't like the drumming he did for The Transplants or any of the hip-hop stuff he's done becuase it all feels like a step back from the good stuff he's done with Blink/BCR/+44.

I had the chance to see +44 play a small show at Webster Hall in NYC when he had a broken hand. It was amazing watching him play with one hand, using his busted hand to hold a cigarette lol. Say what you will about the bands he's been in (including the Aquabats...) but you can't deny the guys got talent.

I wouldn't know, because he didn't play anything at E3.  Just stood up on the stage and talked.

Until that stupid reality show he had i always joked he was a mute cuz he'd never talk. I wish he wouldnt either, he sounds... kinda wussy. It ruins the mystery behind the quiet off stage/maniac on stage persona he seemed to have.

I hope for heavy DLC support.  And hopefully it will be as varied as the set list.

It's really disappointing that Prince wont let anyone do anything with his music.

I'm hoping for some Marvin Gaye.  how wouldn't want to play "Let's Get it On"?  or Temptations, "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" would be great.  Guitar hero would really benefit from a nice dosage of R&B/Soul/Funk(RHCP doesn't count here).

I really hope that DLC is better supported as well. These games don't need sequels, as little more can be added to them outside of songs. Band-centric installments and "track packs" are also stupid, as switching discs in and out is annoying.

I don't feel like going thru gonintendo to find this but..

did anyone else read the snippet of an article they had about concerning how the DLC works on the wii version?

I only read it briefly and it sounded like your download takes up 200 blocks of the wii system memory, but all your songs can be saved on an SD card, and the 200 blocks on your wii will be used as a cache.. at least thats how i understood it, i could be wrong.

At first I read 200 blocks as 200 MEGABYTES and was like HOLY **** THAT'S HORRIBLE PROGRAMMING.

I suppose they could store the note charts in the Wii and keep just the audio on the SD card.  That would prevent us from swapping our downloaded songs outside of their control, but the 200 blocks would set an arbitrary upper limit on the number of songs we could download.

I wouldn't mind the 200 blocks if they made it a full-fledged GH Tunes channel.  It could be a more advanced interface to the store and GH Tunes.

That's right.  Although 200 was thrown as more as a generalization and less as an absolute number.

Depends on the length of the song, I'm sure.

I think he means the number of cache blocks required depends on the song's length.  I guess. :/

but having a cache block fluctuating taking up more or less of your wii's internal memory would be really stupid... lol

seriously. I know that no matter what i'll have to remove some stuff from my wii's memory, but i'd just like to know for sure how much space i'll have left so i dont go overboard.

Theres a few games i could easily move to an sd card cuz chances of me playing them again any time soon is slim, but theres others (mm9, harvest moon for instance) that i'd like to keep on there. Oh well, release date is a month away, more info should be pouring out soon.

One day everyone who plays Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band Whatever Number We're On Now will stop and think and realize that they've been playing the same game for four effing years.

This is my prediction.

Clearly only a terrible game would continue to be enjoyable for four years.
