Radiohead is tough because the guitars and drums aren't as prominent in many of their songs. I'd have loved Street Spirit, Paranoid Android or Optimistic though.

I think this would be a cool idea. Maybe, on some songs you can have the option to play rhythm guitar instead of bass (you know on songs that have a rhythm guitar section to begin with).

Maybe, since past guitar heroes on the multiplayer some songs had rhythm and others bass.

I'm afraid copyright infringement will be heavily policed, so I don't have high hopes for anything like that. I plan to try to remake some of my favorite songs for myself, though.

i'm with UPB, i couldn't care less if cover songs were policed on GH-tunes because i plan on recreating songs i like for my self, not to upload and show off that i could recreate it. I'll save my original stuff for GH-Tunes.

Can't wait to check out what you guys can put out. I was watching a video of the music editor where they showed off the drum tracks they recorded (using the guitar) and it sounded sick.

I would love that. NIN has some amazing instrumentals.

I don't see why the haven't secured the rights to any NIN songs, Trent doesn't seem to care what the hell happens with his music nowadays.

Trent "doesn't care" because he seems to be a true artist. He wants to see his material grow and expand, knowing full well that keeping it locked in a closest will only make it stagnate. He has basically created open-source music and that is a very exciting thing from an artist's perspective.

Having said that, everything from Ghosts and The Slip is legally fair game for fan recreation. I still think it's pretty pathetic that Activision wussed out on the vocals however.

I know this has the same info for new songs in the last link, but in the confirmed setlist it has one song i haven't seen before; "Beautiful Disaster" by 311. Also has several other artist confirmed, but no songs listed... Like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimmy Eat World and Steely Dan.

i dont mind that they wussed out honestly. I'd rather have it the way it is, then have it hyped up as a version with vocals only to get that taken away somehow due to legality issues.

Besides, how many of these people do you really think will be able to hold a tune? i don't want a tone deaf singer hurting my ears no matter how good the rest of the track he made is. This is why i dont listen to Coheed & Cambria :-D

Besides, its not like you cant yourself sing along to a track you made when playing it with friends, really you're only limited to uploading your vocals and sharing them, which would be odd anyway considering you'd have no idea what the vocals are going in, where as you're probably well familiar with lyrics in the songs already on the disc.

On top of that, imagine going in to GH-Tunes and downloading a track, and the lyrics spew out a bunch of hate speech like gay bashing or curse words? With all the potential users, thats way too much to expect activision to monitor.

ps. preordered my copy today. i plan on putting about $20 towards it every week until launch, so it doesnt seem like that much when he gives my my total due.

EasyCure's got a good point. Take OC Remix, for example. I love a lot of music I found there, but 90% of the tracks with actual singing are terrible. People in general simply can't sing.

Ok, if the (GH3/GH:WT) DLC for Death Magnetic (greatest DLC ever, btw) is the standard size, then you'll be able to fit maybe 20 songs on an SD card before you completely run out of space. Death Magnetic is 1.3GB, it's 10 fucking songs, 80 minutes. The entire RockBand 1 soundtrack is ~1.5GB (if you use the RB1 exporter on the 360 you'll find this out). Anyway, Activision needs to get their **** together and get those file sizes WAAAAY down. That's fucking insane.

activision has already reported that they're going to shrink the files sizes down as much as possible (while also keeping the audio good) for the wii.

And guys, the confirmed list unconfirmed some stuff I thought was on their. Like "Light My Fire", "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" and the "Low" remix.

Confirmed: The Wii version is the BEST version of GH:WT. Take a look. It has every single thing that the other versions have, and also has Mii Freestyle mode, which is even better than RockBand 2's Drum Trainer Freestyle mode, apparently.

Are there any photos on how the wii peripherals are going to look in terms of colour? I remember seeing the Wii Rock Band instruments and they were all white, and too much white can be kind of a nuisance for me.

I'm also torn between the Wii (2GB from SD minus a bunch of VC games) and the 360 (120GB minus a bunch of XBLA and DLC), and even worse considering that if it is true that I will be able to play Rock Band 2 (at least, hopefully Rock Band also) with the GHWT instruments.

I'm really looking forward to this game, and the Creation mode is quite enticing for me considering that I hope there will be people recreating their favourite videogame music onto this game. Another reason to consider which version to get.

You can get 2GB SD cards for like $5 now, so even 10 of them would cost less than the 360's 20GB HDD. I think Nintendo's storage solution is going to be an updated driver for the SD slot that supports SDHC.

Reading IGN's preview this is like the rebel Wii game. While every other developer is making up excuses for making sh!tty Wii product or not supporting the Wii at all Vicarious Visions is trying to top the PS3 and X360 versions. While Nintendo is more or less dumbing down games Vicarious is doing the opposite. They're subscribing more to a classic Nintendo philosophy: make the best game you can. They're shoving everything they can think of into the game. They're even by-passing Nintendo's stupid storage system and just letting things load off the SD card.

It's like VV is sticking it to the entire industry. Guitar Hero: World Tour is like an attempt to prove Nintendo wrong and all the other third parties wrong.

And Freestyle Mode just sounds so much like Wii Music. They've even added a drum mode! I love it! Nintendo's feeble excuse for a game is a mere mode in Guitar Hero: World Tour.

Now I have to convince my parents to somehow buy this rather expensive game for me for Christmas. Something tells me I'll get a book instead and have to buy it myself.
