High Voltage's anticipated first person shooter will be playable at Nintendo's booth at the Penny Arcade Expo.

High Voltage Software announced that their upcoming game, The Conduit, will be featured at Nintendo's booth later this month at the Penny Arcade Expo. "PAX is jam-packed wall-to-wall with passionate game fans," said Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer at High Voltage. "We are incredibly honored to be featured there at Nintendo's booth. It's a fantastic opportunity for us to receive input and feedback directly from other gamers."

The Conduit is still searching for a publisher but being featured at Nintendo's booth might be a step in the right direction for the game, and possibly a hint of things to come.

Nintendo® hosts The Conduit at this year's Penny Arcade Expo

Hoffman Estates, IL- August 18, 2008 - High Voltage Software (HVS) has announced that The Conduit, a fast paced action-shooter game currently in development for the Wiiâ„¢ console, will be featured by Nintendo® at this year’s PAX convention. The Conduit is a First Person Shooter (FPS) where players battle fierce alien invaders in a highly detailed 3D world using a dynamic control scheme only possible on the Wiiâ„¢.

Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer at HVS, had this to say about the news, "PAX is jam-packed wall-to-wall with passionate game fans. We are incredibly honored to be featured there at Nintendo's booth. It's a fantastic opportunity for us to receive input and feedback directly from other gamers."

The Conduit made a big splash at this year’s E3 convention. HVS received numerous awards and press recognition, including IGN Best Shooter Game of E3 2008 (Wiiâ„¢), IGN Best Graphics Technology of E3 2008 (Wiiâ„¢), IGN Best Overall Wiiâ„¢ Game of E3 2008, GameTrailers Best Wiiâ„¢ Game of E3 2008, Edge Top 20 Games of E3 2008, and GamePro 21 Wiiâ„¢ Games to Drool Over.

Kerry Ganofsky, founder and C.E.O. of HVS, commented on the attention, "We are honored and overjoyed to have our efforts recognized. To be acknowledged by the industry news media shows that the hard work of our team has not gone unnoticed and only strengthens our resolve to continue to push our game play, graphics, and the technical boundaries of the hardware’s capabilities."

Is Nintendo showcasing any third party games in their PAX booth?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

This is great news and such a lucky opportunity for High Voltage Software. It would be perfect if Nintendo picks up the publishing tab since it might be a double hit to release it along side Wii Sports Resort. I think High Voltage said they would be supporting the Wii Motion Plus, right? Or am I mistaking it for that Red Steel 2 news?

Red Steel 2 news Enner. As far as I know, Conduit has NO reason to use Wii Motion Plus.

I'm totally for Ninty publishing The Conduit, which is now reminding me of Geist all over again (though I was one of those few that bought and adored the most underrated Gamecube game ever)...

The only thing is, it would be one less good third party game for Wii... ;)

Unless they completely do their own thing like EA does there will be friend codes in the game whether Nintendo publishes it or not. I don't want Nintendo to publish it, though, because of their track record of (not) advertising core gamer games on the Wii.

I want EA to publish it personally.  Just have them fix the problems they had with MOHH2's online system and it would be a really good experience.

Only because they set them up to fail.

I think I may actually prefer if a third party picks up this game and it becomes a huge success while Wii Music is a disasterous flop.  That sort of thing might shake things up in my favour.

The worst case scenario would be if The Conduit isn't actually very good.

I still maintain that Sega would be the best choice to publish it. They're a company that believes this kind of game can work on the Wii and they have the resources to heavily promote it.

Nintendo should be showcasing the game even if they weren't publishing it.
