I sent you some cherries and a few other things Kai.

Everyone I sold most of my fruit.I left 3 trees for each fruit.I left my coconuts alone. Does anybody know how much you need for the bridge?

I tried connecting to WFC both by inviting and going out, it timed out on going out but it connected after a LONG time when I invited people. The thing is it quit and I LOST ALL MY PROGRESS SINCE THE LAST SAVE! Grrr, and I had a great Koi fish too

Yay a heart next to my name! I might open my gates later today Maxi, I'll be sure to post here.

No! NO! It's not ready yet! T_T

btw, anyone got a cherry?

/resisting joke, thread too wholesome.

Kai you should let us visit, we'll help spruce up the place. By the way I'm working on a game to play when visitors come over since theres not much going on in my town. I don't even have an axe yet to chop down trees let alone have axe fights with you guys :(

Oh and S_B's patters are sick (in a good and bad way). I never woulda thought of making designs like that..

If we don't visit your town, we can't send letters right? Cuz I think i sent something to Pap and he was the only one who came up in my "other towns" list.

Oh and S_B's patters are sick (in a good and bad way). I never woulda thought of making designs like that..

Credit has to go to my GF for those, though the Mr. Slave shirt was my idea.

It's especially awesome when male villagers put on the cleavage shirt.

Got the axe. Sent GP hers and technically Pap is next on the list but I should have another soon after.

OMG, I have to check AC. THANKS!

Welcome.

Do me a favor though, and send me the axe from your Nook's as often as possible. I created 2 extra characters so I'll have 4 chances per day, but I need 4 axes to throw in, considering Serena likes to keep them on a frequent basis.

OH SNAP!

Unless you mean that my room is composed of 90% pure diabeetus.

That was 90% her design.

And she hates you for calling it messy, FYI.

Okay guys. I've never played an Animal Crossing game before (yeah, I know..). I decided to pick up City Folk since it seems to be the best of the bunch.

I'm three hours in and I'm wondering.. am I doomed to spend the rest of my AC life performing menial tasks with little reward? Does it get more fun? Am I missing something? Where exactly is one supposed to derive enjoyment from the game?

And these aren't sarcastic questions - I seriously want to know.

If you are talking about the errands Nook sends you on then no, these won't last forever.

If you are talking about stuff like fishing, planting trees and such, well, it all depends on the player. If you aren't having fun with AC I hate to say it but it ain't your game.

You can fish and donate your catch to the museum. It might not seem much, but its definitely satisfying showing off your rare catch to other players. I mean...you can fish sharks!

Then there's decorating your town, which is what I am doing. Once more, its satisfying creating a beautiful town then showing it off. It makes the experience far more personal.

Creating patterns can be very fun and even hilarious at times. Just ask SB about his Mr. Slave pattern. You can also create patterns in order to make patterns and adorn your town, adding even more complexity to your village.

City Folk also has a snapshot option (though poorly implemented). Just go to the Funhouse and you'll see that people are running wild with the screens.

There's even the turnips, which works a lot like the stock market. You can buy a lot of them and hope that Nook sells them at a great cost.

I can go on and on about the experience. AC is a game that is defined by the player. The game gives you the options and the features, but its really up to you how you use your time in the game.

Looks like WFC may actually be working today.  It didn't take me a ridiculously long time to connect.

My Nook is buying turnips for 115 Bells apiece today... not great, but decent.  My gate will be open probably for the next hour or so if anyone wants to stop by.  I also still need to unload this kitten on Maxi.
