Think of it as Animal Crossing crossed with an action game...You explore the island in search of characters to help...You then provide your services (such as training Little Mac in boxing, the Famicom Wars Soldats in volleyball, etc)...I believe you have to collect those weird white things that have the yellow ears...Once you collect enough of them (through helping others and finding them around the island), you'll get a star...You have to get the star to a certain place (I guess so it can be granted), but "shadows" come after you, and if you're caught you are sent to a minigame where you face off against them...When you finally get the star to its goal, you can either grant Nick's wish (to become a really popular superhero) or one of the Nintendo characters' wishes...I assume choosing Nick's wish will just end the game, while granting everyone on the island's wishes will get you the true ending of the game... =)

Well I'm not convinced on this game from your description, but I will give it a chance because I also gave a chance to Chibi-Robo with the exact same feeling I have for CR at the moment.

Oh, and Famitsu has reviewed the game:  8/7/8/8 (31/40)

That's a good score.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but...

The only negative part of that was the reaction of the person that posted it, there is no reason to take that as meaning a release is less likely and it may mean that it's slightly more likely.

Not surprising, though disappointing. Like I mentioned already the obscure Nintendo references along with the fruitiness of Japanese humor will keep this one away.

Even if it does get released in the US the game will likely be treated as minimally as possible, like Chibi Robo before it.

What the ****? What a shitty news story. Talk about spin. The fact the game is there is only a good thing. Horrible horrible website.

I'll be honest, I had my doubts about this game, but after watching the first 12 minutes, it does look intriguing....

I really hope Nintendo brings this game out in the US, it may actually catch on if marketed correctly like Animal Crossing.

Not likely to happen given what I've read about the game (for example, see Caliban's link).  ;)

Conker was able to fly under the radar because not even Nintendo cared about the N64 by that point.  If Conker came out a few years earlier (or was delayed to a NGC game, it would have been censored quite a bit.  Also, it was made by Rare, Nintendo's then-darling second party, not Skip, a dev team Nintendo doesn't really care about.

Well they obviously care about Skip enough to let them do whatever the hell they want...

Now tell me, what was the last game of Ninty's that was censored in the localization from Japan to the U.S.?  I can't think of one in the past two generations...Hell, they don't even care about 3rd party censorship for the most part (BMX XXX?)

I don't recall saying the game would be censored during localization.  I said it wouldn't be localized at all.  (And there are plenty of those.)

You certainly implied that the game wouldn't make it over because of the content...If it doesn't make it over it's because NOA are a bunch of lazy goons, nothing otherwise... =(
