Does anybody subscribe to the Official Nintendo Magazine? I think that is an European Magazine. In it they say that Animal Crossing is going to be announced at E3.

Online is a given considering they even SHOW Animal Crossing-related stuff in the Wii instruction booklet...

DLC?  I think it's likely, though I do think Ninty would show off a storage solution first...

Hmm I need to check the instruction booklet for that.
Yes that is a given for DLC.
What do you think Nintendo will provide as a storage solution? Sd cards, a hard driver, or both?

I personally think the most effective form of storage would be to allow the Wii to read directly off an SD card, but I'm not all that technologically knowledgeable to know if the Wii is capable of doing that...(It should be...)

I would like it if Nintendo allowed for USB Storage drives...those Key Chain things for Storage, and to upgrade the SD Card drivers to read faster, and to allow for reading directly off of SD cards.

This would be the cheapest and easiest solution for Nintendo.  It would be a very nice upgrade...and would instantly have me excited.  From there I would hope Nintendo would release some information about downloadable content.

I expect that Animal Crossing could be the first Pay to Play game using that New Nintendo system...and I imagine it will allow you to buy additions to your house and such...and mini-games and other features for your Animal Crossing Townie and home.

The cheapest solution to the storage issue isn't to allow the Wii to read or load form an SD card, it's simply a firmware upgrade that allows the Wii to read and load from USB Hard Drive devices. A firmware update is the least evasive and labor intensive solution plus you wouldn't need to buy any cards you could use an old USB HD you probably have lying around from old PC back ups. Storage is cheap, and the capacity is great. Let the Wii communicate with these devices. I think THAT would be the best way.

You can get a 2 GB USB drive (the kind that fits on a keychain) for less than $20. The nice thing about using USB drives is that you can go bigger than 2 GB, the limit of SD cards with the reader the Wii uses. I think the best solution, though, is to release a firmware update that allows both ways.

Insanolord:  You are correct...and people didn't read what I wrote, because that is exactly what I suggested BOTH...without going the Hard Drive Route.  Having the SD Cards be able to be read...if you are worried about Speed, then you can use a USB memory stick thing.  I think you can get those as high as 8 Gigs.
