In fact I wouldn't be surprised if eventually Metroid is completely a FPS series and the FPA aspect of Metroid Prime is slowly phased out.

About damn time too.

Come to think of it, i want a Facebook Channel. And i don't mean a variation of the Internet Channel - a full blown layout of your profile and your friends, pokes etc that ties back to the Wii Message Board.

If we're going blue ocean we might as well gather the hundreds of millions there while we're at it.

That would go great with the homebrew Minesweeper game.

Considering we've received a mere 2 channels since last E3, I hope for some new ones.  Ones that don't involve Mii's or whether I prefer lobster to crabs.

And I'm fine on channels, my front page is full up with non-vc channels.

I'd rather have scallops. Lobster is severely overrated, especially the tail meat.

Do you guys expect Firmware update morning of E3?

What about movies posted onto Nintendo Channel and new DS demos from E3 to download.

or is that make to much sense and thus impossible for Nintendo?

Yeah, too much sense. I shudder at the though of streaming 2 hours of a Nintendo Media Conference through the Nintendo channel...

But anywhere from one to four weeks after E3 we might get a trickling of E3 reports or interviews, condensed into 5-10 minute chunks maybe?

I could see a Firmware update right after the E3 conference if some new big compatibility feature or channel is added.

I actually see Nintendo having several of their E3 game announcement videos being available on the Nintendo Channel the day after their conference.  Even possible specials throughout E3.

Why not it is cheap and easy marketing for them.

I would have to say that I'm hoping for things that probably wont happen.

I would like to see: A firmware update that would let my Wii connect to an external HD
An amazing (As amazing as you can get on the Wii) On-line FPS with Downloadable content
                           An exclusive MMO RPG
Spore... Not just a watered down version either

I've heard that Pikmen 3 will be announced and I am very excited about that. Also Kid Icarus, that could be great. I hope we get a revamped DS lite, and a more promising lineup for Wiiware. Animal crossing should be amazing, especially if they open up on-line play for it and incorporate a Wii channel. Also, I know in the grand scheme of things this might not be very important but a tweak to the Wii's user interface would be nice.

At this point I don't feel very excited about any announcements that they will make. I am hopefull though, I hope they will finally turn their focus on us core gamers instead of the quick buck that the shallow market has opened up for them. I hope to walk away from E3 with at least four things to be excited about, that isn't much to ask for... Is it?

FOUR?!?!? ... hmm... heck, I'd be ecstatic if we got TWO genuinely uber-exciting things out of this E3.

Set yourselves up for disappointment people! I mean, last year you got Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 and Wii Fit and Zelda: PH... and you STILLL weren't happy!!! I mean, what gives?!?!? If E3 2007 didn't cut it for you, E3 2008 is a guaranteed bust I'm sure.

I hope they show Animal Crossing regardless of when it comes out here (I say next year), Kid Icarus even though it's all just been insane chatter. A sequel to Red Steel would be appreciated, as well as a F Zero because they gave us that wheel and nothing else to rock it on. I'm not very excited about a Kirby game, but I'll take it if they do. I'd like a real RPG please, I feel that I keep running to my DS for them and I can't deal anymore. Also they will really have to smile a lot when they reveal the solution to the storage problem. A LOT!
If they show off a new DS I'll freak out, but I seriously doubt it.

Part of what'll make E3 great will be getting a better idea of what the fall lineup will look like. I can already rattle off titles dues this fall from some third parties, but hopefully E3 will be the glue that'll bring them all together.

.... God wouldn't it be great if they announced that Joysound was coming to the states with localized American Karaoke songs?

Honestly, I'm preparing myself for nothing earth-shattering, just more information on the titles we know are coming. Not to say that I don't think I could be pleasantly surprised by something major, in fact I probably will be, but Nintendo has already put a couple of heavy-hitters out this year, and their console is doing just fine on its own. If we do get details about new tentpole projects in development (Metroid, Zelda, etc.), I wouldn't be shocked if they're 2009 releases. But, I guess we'll see. Plenty of third party stuff to be excited about in any case.

How about Nintendo anouncing a new game with immersive motion controls?  I think its pretty pathetic that almost two years into the console's life span, we only have a handful of games which utilize motion controls correctly.  In my opinion, Wii Sports was great because it demonstrated what the Wii was capable of.  Back in Nov 2006, this got me excited to play sports games again.

Two years later, I'm still waiting for somebody to make a decent golf, baseball, and basketball game.

MLB Power Pros makes for a great Baseball game. The second one is coming up in about a month I believe, MLB Power Pros 2008. That one is sure to be amazing. Hopefully We Love Golf from Camelot will be great, and that is coming up soon as well.

While I agree that MLB Power Pros is the best baseball series EVER created, it's not what D_Average was talking about.  Wii Sports is the only game that utilizes proper motion control for a baseball game (the swing and pitch mechanics), and no other baseball game on Wii has even come close to this.  Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2009 looks to be the closest to 1-to-1 motion controls thus far.  I'm expecting serious improvements in this year's version.  So improved, that I might actually buy it.  :P

Basketball could be really fun, but EA just is never going to get it right.  It's going to take an incredible inventive dev to pull off a proper motion-controlled basketball game.  Who knows, E3 might show us the light.  Time to take this console serious now devs.  Nintendo's the leader now.
I like Nintendo more than j00!
