seriously? it'd be point and click all the way. the squad movements (c-stick) could probably be switched over to the D-pad.

Or...

how about making Olimar move with the D-pad, move the cursor by pointing obviously, and letting the nunchucks control stick move the squad as a whole for more precision (as opposed to putting your pikmin on the D-pad). And before you say "holding the wiimote to extensively use the d-pad makes it harder to hit other buttons" you could switch what the cubes A button did and put it to C on the nunchuck, bring up your menu with Z and have B call your pikmin.

I dunno, the classic controller would be a step down from the gamecube controller, IMO. I think you might just have to cycle through them via left/right on the d-pad.

That and it kinda defeats the point of porting them to wii without taking advantage of IR controls

I'm really looking forward to the new Pikmin and Legend of Zelda game.

The Pikmin controls will most likely be motion and point stuff, even after Nintendo said they would have some less-casual games for long time Nintendo fans soon. Pikmin seems like a good game that could be real fun with motion and point controls.

As for the next Legend of Zelda game for the Wii, it might as well be like LoZ: Twilight Princess. I'm thinking maybe putting that Wii Motion Plus to good use with the game too. I hope it not to motion dependant though...
