So, I was looking at the old games I have that I never played, and I came across Hybrid Heaven.
It starts off with this long cinematic, then throws you in the game. I figure that I'm the good guy, and I just need to catch up on the story. Then I let a bunch of freaks out of their holding cells, forcing me to fight through them. What kind of logic is that?
I figure I just got to the end of the first chapter as I sat through another cut-scene. More story that doesn't explain my motives, though I figure I'm up against the usual corporate hijinks with an alien invasion thrown in.
The gameplay has so far been pretty repeatitive. Run down a corridor, fight a bad-guy, pick up health from adjacent rooms, repeat. While its nice to see my body parts leveling up, I don't know if its really paying off. Though I like the increases in the amount of health I have.
One thing about the game I love now is it has an option for 'hi-res widescreen'. I love these games that were ahead of their time. It really makes a difference too.
Anyone else doing some retro gaming without the VC? Any Hybrid Heaven lovers here?
