I've heard of this series before but I'm too lazy to look into it, but I just looked for it on youtube and behold, "Best of Metalocalypse (Season 1): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRdxgXa1DB0 . #19, #17, #6, #5, and #4 are hilarious. I think I'm going to start watching this series.

The first two episodes are a couple of the best, I think. I hopped on a torrent after someone recommended it to me and then watched everything. I dunno if there are dvds, but there's an album (!) and some decent extra content on adultswim.com

For those not in the know, this is by the guy that did Home Movies, but the production quality in Metalcocalypse is relatively huge compared to HM

The latest Game Informer confirms that Metalcocalypse: Season 1 is out. Its a two disc set, like most AS DVD sets.

As for the show itself I've seen a couple of episodes. Its good, but never enthralling enough for me to keep watching.

Maybe I'm just biased towards some of the new AS stuff but NOTHING will beat the original shows (ATHF, Harvey Birdman, The Brak Show and Space Ghost). Most of the new shows are either a hit or a miss, with some of them being absolutely RETARDED (I'm looking at you, "Tom goes to the Mayor"!).

I agree, the show is pretty damn good; but then again, I have to agree with pap. Nothing beats AS's original shows. (the brak show songs are funnier than metalocalypse imo)

It's pretty good, there are a few hilarious moments (Dr. Rockso the Rock n Roll clown), and the soundtrack is AWESOME. Not sure if it is quite the best show on TV, but definitely worth checking out.

6 episodes in and I'm already wanting to buy the season 1 dvd, and perhaps the cd.

Two thumbs up for season 1.
I'm not happy with season 2. There are only 6 episodes so far, they're in a hiatus right now I think, yet the only episode I liked was the first episode which I think retained the allure from the first season.
