Amazon.com kept emailing me when crap like that was newly available, based on me saying I owned things like New Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart DS. I made a thread about it, you might remember.

There wasn't as much pre-release excitement about the DS as there was about the Wii, because people only thought the Wii might be a hit because the DS already was. You may recall, when the DS was first announced, the general consensus was "WTF?"

All DS and Wii "WTF" were the fault of Nintendo.

If you recall the following

* The DS, as announced in 2003 was simply said to "use two 3 inch TFT screens" (Iwata) no mention of WHY
* DS shown at E3 '04 was a clunky tonka toy compared to the sleek PSP.
* Third Pillar for the lulz

* Wii/Revolution was show at E3 05 with only "IT'S SEXY! AND IT HAS GAMES FROM THE PAST"
* TV Remote shown in days leading up to TGS 2005 to members of the gaming press
* "Wii" a few days prior to E3 06
* Friend Codes
* In GAME Friend Codes
* USB ports that "do nothing" for a year

Plus there's the chance that the Dragon Quest titles, Tales of Innocence, and Summon Night will be localized as well...

And I doubt that EAD has NOTHING in the works for the DS right now...
