Wii Music news is always good news to me and this comes straight from The-Magicbox.com:

Nintendo's Wii Music, a new music game in which you use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk as various music instruments and perform different kinds of music. There will be over 40 types of instruments to choose from, up to 6 players can play the game simultaneously. Operation is simple, you follow the music notes on screen and press the appropriate buttons or move the controller at the right time.

I need to see more of this game to understand what's going on. I hope it's good.

Why do we think it's six players simultaneously?  The screen shots only show four players.  Sure, there are six characters on screen, but a couple of those could easily be CPU controlled.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Me too.  If it's just another rhythm game I couldn't care less.  I'm just not interested in a game like that because all my friends play real instruments and if we're getting together anyway we might as well jam for real.  Though that's a unique situation and I can see why others would be interested.  Still though with games like Guitar Hero where the controller looks like the real instrument using a remote for just keeping a beat is lame in comparison.

But if I can compose and/or just play whatever then WiiMusic is like owning another musical instrument and that interests me a lot more.  I loved the music mode in Mario Paint and when that came out I didn't even know how to play an instrument.  Just making something was cool.

I have NO DOUBT in mind that you'll be able to create your own music.  You can't look at those screens and assess the whole game. For one, we already know that there's at least a Symphony mode. While this may have been a demonstration, one could argue the same about the entire WiiSports package.

I see neither Tuba nor Cowbell.

This game is made of Phail until further noted of there inclusion.
