It's a lowercase "t" thar.  And a lowercase "g."

Unless you're starting a new sentence.  Then the "t" can be uppercase.

Question, when you send out roles, will you send out pms to townies letting them know or will it be like last game where no pm = no important role?

I send out messages to everyone even if they are a townie.

Will you send anyone a PM giving them any role they request just so sharing PMs becomes completely useless?

Absolutely.

In addition to that, I make sure that every message I send to a townie is different so that messages can not be compared for similarities. I remember this was a problem in an early game. Some townies recognized that their messages were the same and were able to find other townies based on that. For instance, one person may get a message like:

Your role is a townie.

Another person may get this:

You are ;alkdfa;ldsjkfhna;sdljfh townie.

And so on and so on. Because of that, I don't care if people do pm one another since they won't have a form message to compare nor will they be able to trust any qoute given by another person. I'm trying to make it easy so that anyone can make up a message about their role but if you still want me to send you a qoute, just ask.

Ask early, too, if you want that.  That way, you'll have a message time to go along with it, too.

Just saying.

I got into trouble because of that.  I was the vigilante so my pm was different, and when vudu asked me I 'fessed up because I knew I would not be able to come up with the "standard" pm that was sent out.  Eventually we started to trust eachother (rightfully so I might add), so when he told me he was absolutely sure XXXXXXX was mafia I jumped on it. I ended up taking out a good guy, and of course killing myself in the process.  Turned out his evidence was that the person didnt have the standard pm.

Good times. Yes, I believe that was mafia 9 and it was Wandering and Vudu who worked together on the standard message role. I think Vudu ended up getting killed over that though, didn't he? I just remember noting to myself that when I was about to host the next game Mafia 10 make sure all townie pm's are different. I've always stuck to that. It was a powerful lesson at what can go wrong.

KashogiStogi:  I would say stick buy Khush and he will help you learn the ropes, but he isn't playing he is hosting.

This game isn't too hard to pick up as long as you start talking to people, and actually study voting partners.  The truth is, people will try to use you, but you can make yourself unaccessible or a free thinker and be fine.

We tend to go easy on the new guys for the first couple days of every game.  After that, it's sink or swim.

Umm...Vudu I dunno what you are talking about.

The first 3 Mafia games I played I was killed first day.  It was almost an inside joke.  I knew I was dead so I tried for the death.

Don't forget me. I died in that shamble of crappiness because my message was slightly different. It didn't make me any less of a townie though

Maybe you're the idiot then; I can't quite remember.  The point is, one of you is an idiot who I got Zach to kill and then I wound up dead because of it.

Not to worry, people are actually very good to new players, the mafia may try to use you, but we all want more people to play on a regular basis so we are *usually* nice to the noobs.
