It was great.  It wrapped up all the major points in a tight little bow so we didn't feel gypped, but still left some things open so that we were left wanting more, but didn't feel like the show overstayed it's welcome.  I was pleased. :)

You mean Sparky Sparky Boom Man?  Didn't Prince Zuko take care of him at the Western Air Temple?  That was a pretty big fall.

I want to know what happened to Zuko's mom....  It seems odd they brought that up, just to drop it...

I think they were afraid to drag it out.  So I think the solution was just let it go the way they did because they basically implied that Zuko would find her.

They need to make more avatar...

*scratches nick*

I need my fix.

Hopefully M. Night Myalamananalamanana doesn't **** up the movie. There is so much potential for a story like this.

oh great, he's directing it?

I'm hesitant they can move the story farther, but I'll give them the chance.

It really makes me nervous when they do this stuff.

Sokka being funny and stupid is very good in the show. I love it when he throws on the beard. Quite hilarous.

I read that the creators of Avatar found M. Night Shyamalan's (sp) script for the first film even more faithful to the story than they would've personally had it (they suggested some things to change, but they loved what he did), so I don't think we need to worry about some stupid twists.

Fantastic finale to a wonderful (and underrated!) series. It makes me sad that it's over, but I guess we'll see what happens with the series in the future. I expected them to make a future Avatar and wrap up some of the loose ends of this storyline in that one, but I hadn't considered the point about the air benders dying out.
Any color you like.

necro-bump...

If you're like me, you really like this series, but $50 box sets are crazy.  Well...
DeepDiscountDVD.com is running Buy One, Get One Free on Nick DVDs!  I had already picked up season one some time ago when Best Buy ran an error price in their ad (thanks Best Buy!), so this let me get seasons two and three for about $50.  They're OoS right now, but it'll be worth the wait - aside from that one price mistake at Best Buy, I've never seen these box sets go on sale...

I just finished rewatching the entire series. God, that show is awesome. At first, I thought I liked the action the best, but it's really the development of the characters that keeps me so interested.

If you haven't seen any of the episodes, do yourself a favor and watch it. This isn't a normal "I love this show, and you should too" type of comment. This show is literally one of the greatest animated series ever to be created. It's like if Pixar were to make a TV show for a change.

Anyway, I'm bumping this thread to let you guys know that "The Last Airbender" (the title for the live-action movie) teaser has been released along with the full cast.

http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/thelastairbender/

I don't know what to think. I actually kind of feel disgusted. The cast pisses me of (except for Aasif Mandvi!) I always thought of the Fire Nation to be Japanese, not Indian. As for the Water Tribe, I thought they were more South American, and the earth kingdom more Persian. Air Nomads, are well, Tibetan.

Anyway, the effects look great, but as much as the teaser is suppose to relieve doubt, it just incites more from me. I really really really hope the don't **** it up.
