You think Luigi will be unlockable and not Game and Watch?

I wonder just how many Trophies will be in Brawl.  Melee has 290 (291 in Japan, 293 if you went to one of those event's in Japan to get Mario on Yoshi and Helmet less Samus) so I'd imagine Brawl will have at least 500.

With all the Trophies, Stickers and CD's Brawl is sure going to have a lot of content to keep us busy for a very long time.

You said it. I hope the main game is as robust as the extra features.

But what I am wondering is does this mean that collectable trophies work as assist trophies and vice versa? If that's the case then it makes sense to collect them all.

And I hope they have an even number now (none of this rushed crap!).

Yay, Ooccoo!  That'd be so rad if she was an Assist Trophy, but I'm sure ATs and Trophies don't have to be correlated...

Some of them already are, though. In one of the screens you can see a Nintendog which is already an assist.

Maybe not all of the trophies will be assist but a handful of them already are.

Yeah, everything that appears in the game modes will be a trophy, but there will also be trophies of stuff that aren't. Just like in Melee.

Well, if they're showing Ooccoo, of all things, I'd imagine the number will be astronomical.

Alright, so we know Trophies are back with an easier means of sorting them, and a way to place them and make pictures probably to send to people.

That is a mode I won't be using much, but it is cool to see.

So we are collecting:

Music
Stickers
trophies

in this game.

Boxes and Sliding Boxes? I cant think of any reason for the separation right off the bat.

They're probably distinct items on the item switch (or rather, sliding boxes are considered an item, but regular boxes aren't). Plus sliding boxes have wheels.

Coming from my CAG post:

Wow. No one has commented yet that all the screenshots show Gamecube buttons?

Green A, red B, yellow C stick, bean buttons...

Also (from another poster over there):

Supposedly from the new Famitsu:

Katsuya Eguchi, director of the Animal Crossing games, has been interviewed in the latest issue of Famitsu. In it he discusses the upcoming Animal Crossing game on the Wii, although one of the questions ties into Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

FAMITSU: Have you been approached to contribute Animal Forest elements for the new Smash Bros. game?

KATSUYA EGUCHI: Yes, and there is quite a funny story to it. A few months after E3 2006, (Masahiro Sakurai) contacted me and asked if I'd like to develop possible Animal Forest ideas for Smash Bros. Originally, we settled on just a quick, simple Animal Forest item, but with the success of Wild World and the Animal Forest film, he asked if I'd be up for designing additional elements. [Laughs] Fast forward a few months and I had stage and character concepts created. Sakurai chose his favorite of the stage concepts, slightly tweaked it to his liking, and we together decided on the final Animal Forest character, which is a very fun character to play. With both the stage and character I utilized ideas from the games. For example, if you play the stage at night, the sky will be dark. If you play in the winter, expect to see snow, and leaves in the autumn time. And yes, trees will be decorated on Christmas! It's really something else. I worked very hard on this one little stage! [Laughs] The Animal Crossing character is very much like the one in the games. You know, he will use his axe, fishing rod, bug catching net, and everything else from the games.
