In my case I go to bed early of work/school, but I wake up at around 4:00 AM to briefly check the update, then go back to bed right away.

I have trouble sleeping most nights, then miss my 7:25 class weekday mornings.  Test two days from now in there, too.  I'm really worried I'm going to oversleep.

I'm not saying that the smash blog isn't useful, just that it's not worth staying up late over.

I work two jobs, but the thought of something amazing showing up was tempting enough to keep me up late (combined with my natural propensity to stay up late anyway).

I always kept saying that the updates should be more worthwhile, in short they should make multiple updates in a day and screw the "its a surprise!" belief. If some of us are willing to lose sleep over the updates they should make it our worthwhile and talk about many things in one day, even if it means delaying the update.

The Snake update was a good one because the character AND his moves were introduced along with the infamous music update.

Like I said, Brawl is turning out to be a HUGE game so there will ALWAYS be something to talk about so why ration the updates?

I have never understood why people would stay up the for update.  My daily routine includes waking up and checking the update first thing in the morning.  It becomes a very nice way to start the day.  So why would you stay up and lose sleep for nothing?

That's what I'm going to be doing from now on. I'm no longer letting anticipation get the best of me.

I stay up late anyway, so it's just something to do.

Also, it seems they're pulling Diddy from DK64.  Does that mean we will be blessed/cursed with his guitar as a taunt?

So far, the only updates I'm glad I stayed up until 3AM for (EST) were the Pokemans Trainer and Smashville. Everything else really wasn't worth losing any sleep over, although Pit's story intro was pretty damn cool.
What about the WiFi update?

Yeah, I get it at midnight, when I'm up anyway.

There are definately updates that aren't too exciting to me, at least (I wasn't exactly jumping up and down in anticipation over how Diddy's Peanut Gun was going to be used), but I'm of the opinion that we're lucky we're getting this at all, when games like Super Mario Galaxy get...what, a couple screenshots a month? Granted, Brawl has much more varied content, but still.

One item a night is enough, especially since there's gonna be another 40 or so updates before the game comes out. Though I could do for more musicks; there hasn't been any from the Mario series (not counting Yoshi), and that ain't right, son.

Well the one thing everyone has to remember is this game is coming out in each territory at a different date.  Every update appears on all the pages, even though not all of those pages will be recieving the game at the same time.

So even though we have about 40 updates before the games released in America, there's probobly 100 more updates before it's released in Europe.  Now I'm sure we'll see all the general info and who all the starters will be before the American release but a lot of other info will still be revealed in the daily updates long after the American launch since the rest of the world will still be waiting for the game as well.

Ah well.

I kinda expected him as an assist trophy so I'm not honestly surprised. It really sucks that he even hints about "joining the brawl" to boot.

I guess Bowser will stay my main after all.

This will keep me from having to check the updates anymore, really. He was pretty much the last Nintendo character I gave a crap about.

Pap, PM me if they announce Sonic.

This has to be the best assist trophy yet.  I wonder if he puts random people to sleep or those that get closest to him towards the end of his rant.
