I wasn't specific enough...I meant from the "obscure list," as Sakurai expressed his interest in putting in "non-popular" characters that will surprise people... ='D

I love how the lava has a more 3D look to it than it did in Melee... =D

(Edit: HOLY CRAP, Delfino Plaza is amazingly varied! Confirmed to be not a crappy stage! The Centurions in Pit's Final Smash also appear pretty strong...And Pikachu looks so cute in goggles... =D)

Delfino Plaza just looks amazing. It literally takes you to every part of Delfino Plaza from Mario Sunshine. Norfair also looks pretty good, of course what I like about that stage the most is you know that the Norfair theme from Super Metroid will be one of the songs for it.

On the positive side, Sonic's in the game and he was my most desired character. Also, Ouendan is on the most requested list, which means they might have a chance (though I doubt it... >.<

EDIT: I just saw the Delfino Plaza IGN video and the game now looks slower (although the guy was smashing buttons like crazy!).

It could definitely be the characters they are using. Also, Ike's moves looked very similar like Marth's moves...Replacement confirmed??

Well with Fire Emblem DS being a remake of FE3, which Marth was the star of, I'd say Marth's chances of staying are about 95 - 100% now. As I've said before Marth is the icon of the series in Japan, not to mention Sakurai knows Marth is popular here in America because of Melee.

With Marth popular in both territories and being the star of the newest Fire Emblem game that was just announced for the DS, there's absolutely no reason for Marth to be removed now.

The thing is that if you look at the Fall 2007 trailer there are many places in which there is screen shaking (Lylat Cruise, Shadow moses island, Bridge of Eldin all featured screen shaking). Yet the Game videos and IGN versions had no screen shaking at all.

Also, the screen shaking occurred whenever the players attacked each other.

You have to look closely at the videos I mentioned.

S_B you should take a look at the new IGN videos. Not only are they slower the Metroid one has screen shaking for some reason.

This leads me to believe that...

1. Brawl may give you the option of turning certain features on and off, like screen shaking and game speed.

2. The demos used at this event may be far from finished and thus some have them, others don't.

I don't know...these videos have been confusing the hell out of me. Once again, look at the Fall 2007 trailer. Then watch the new videos.

Well there is a speed setting here... with 3 options to pick normal, slow, and fast. Those may be for over the top adjustments but it wouldn't be out of the question to think of an in game option that adjusted the "normal" mode a bit to either be a bit more frantic or more toned down. Not to mention that SSBM had a whole slew of options for practice mode.

That definitely makes sense. I mean, in his old blog Sakurai stated that some fans didn't like Melee's speed and was working on toning it down. Yet, I'm sure he knows that some fans have mastered the game using the game's speed. So maybe they ARE working on giving you the option of adjusting speeds.

After all, Street Fighter 2 had it.
