According to those articles, Metal Gear Solid 3 will not only be on Gamecube, but it will be EXCLUSIVE to Gamecube. Discuss, my fellow peasants...

Well the first link has a scan of the article that was in the OFFICIAL NINTENDO FRANCE MAGAZINE so i think that is pretty darn credible.. but im not 100% sure of it until i see something about it on PGC or IGN.

but it one way it does make sense in the theoretical way
it might just be MGS4 if MGS3 has already been announced for PS2
MGS3 also might go multi plattform, this time also for GCN

I just played through MGS2 in a single sitting and if MGS3 or 4 is like that, then sony can keep em. If its like MGS1 or is an entirley new Metal Gear series then I'd be all for it.

I seriously doubt this. This is a 180 degree change from Konami's past support. I'm not one of the whiners who hates them for not supporting the GCN, but I really can't picture this. Would be nice to eat those words though.

Kojima said he was gonna make a 100% sure PS2 version.
So exclusive is bull. And Kojima is a guy that wants great hardware to his disposal.
SOhe wouldfirst make anXbox MGS3 than on NGC.
But they have been working/thinking/ on a NGCMSG game.

It could just be a typo, and they mean MGS 3.

It could also be a clever move by Konami, and actually be MGS 4. Think of it this way, it's like how we had Star Wars, Episodes 4-6 first, and THEN we doubled back later on for Episodes 1-3. They basically make MGS 4 almost autonamous to the plot (with maybe some vague references to MGS 3 they already have plotted out), and at the same time or later they can do a PS2-specific direct sequel to MGS 2. Since you could argue (although just barely) that Nintendo-specific gamers might not have had exposure to the MGS plotline and certainly not MGS 2, it makes sense to start fresh with them, MGS 4 could be the start of a new trilogy while MGS 3 finishes up the last one.

All websites use the same source, so nothing really makes it more credible than an official statement or some IGN or PGC confirmation.

People shouldnt always believe that things written on paper are always more likely to be right than things written across a screen.

If MGS 3 or 4 is exclusive for the GameCube, what the hell happened to Konami why now they love Nintendo? somebody can please tell me what's going on. the first game from them was the disney games and now Metal Gear, a mature game for a console that is childish (Konami Think that, not me) and only exclusive for the Cube?? i'm in the twilight zone

personaly, i dont think this is that far fetched. i'll still hold out for an official statement, but its possible. with konami's view of the cube, nintendo probably had to pay to get metal gear in any form on gamecube, why not go the step further and pay to make it exclusive? nintendo seems to be getting serious about the gamecube lately, and this would be one way to prove it. either way, its already been confirmed that metal gear is coming in one way or another, so i'm happy.

um, i am sure nintendo had to pay konami a lot of money to put any form of mgs on the cube (i amsure ms had to pay to get mgs2s for the box), but to get an exclusive you are going to have to pay konami a boat load of money because no matter what it won't sell nearly as many copies as a ps2 version. Plus i am sure there are die hard mg fans who won't want to put up extra money to buy a gc for the next mgs game.
But i think that mgs 1, 2, & 3 are very possible for the cube especially if they use the same engine.
