I have a bad feeling about Heavenly Sword, the game felt clunky, uninspired, and above all else a mind numbingly repetitive button smasher. It pales (No pun intended) to God of War which, while an action game, maintained a freshness. I am getting a definate Dynasty Warriors vibe out of this game, but with less fun. I beat the demo by smashing buttons and running around.

I refuse to play God of War because of the pointless sex crap in it.

Yeah, you can mock me for that.

I was going to do the Amazon thing but, I have no job right now but I should have one in a month at the latest or be picked off by my Mom or Wife either way it all works out so,  I really needed the deferred payment...  Of course my user is Ceric on PSN  I think thats what you need to send messages but I'm not sure.  Can't wait for LBP  I've got all the trailers and I even bothered to make them Icons.  Odin Sphere and FF XII is what I'm playing now.  Also anyone use the new Wallpaper stuff?  I hope they eventually allow for font sizes change, text is tiny on my  screen.

Also I agree with GP.
Pale: GoW was a fun game and the mini-game inside the game was some of the best parts but, I can see where your going with the sex things.  I was surprised by it when I first played the game because I didn't know.  Also I never beat the game because my copy had to be defective I've spent probably 8+ hours all told at the end in a cave where you have to pull a block get on it and jump to a cliff before spikes come out the thing is Kratos never makes it in any variation on my game...

It is kind of funny that you say you use your PS3 more, Pale, because I am BACKED up on games at the moment. Still need to play Big Brain Academy, Scarface, and RE4.

The original God of War is at least worth a rental. It's a really good game and one of the few games I actually found myself having fun with on the PS2.

Well all I can say is that this was the worst 1GB download ever. The game to me was a boring hack and slash, I had much more fun with the Dynasty Warriors: Gundam demo. My biggest gripe is that this looks like a boring carbon copy of God Of War (which I didn't particularly like that much to begin with). So now I highly doubt I am getting HS I wish there was a Lair demo since that looks like a awesome game.

It is an insult to call this a carbon copy of God of War which was 50xs better in execution, not to mention it had a jump button. God of War nailed the action/hack n slash genre down almost perfectly, while Heavenly Sword feels sloppy and unpolished.

It's pointless yes, but you can pass the first and second game without even knowing about it.

Heavenly Sword will sell well anyway, it's not like PS3 owners have much choice to begin with.

I'm actually more worried about my Wii right now then my PS3 to tell the truth.  The PS3 I just heard that it gets a little hotter then normal when playing Blu-Ray disc that coupled with the PS2's life spans I'll invest the extra $30 dollars to help since its suppose to be around for 10 years, which I doubt but hey it might.  That and the extra external fans are quiter then the PS3's actual fans so I try to keep it so the internal ones don't run.  Though I have no proof that without it it would run any hotter then with.

I do for my Wii on the other had.  It runs pretty hot to the the touch.  Surprising enough more so when its just in WiiConnect24 and it never runs the fan in that mode so I have a little external fan in a stand that runs when its on to help.  I'm little worried that my poor little won't have a full long life.  Its already my second Wii.  My first broke in less than a week.

In the end its a shame.  Though I'm wary about the PS3's cooling because of Sony history.  I'm worried about my Wii because of experience.  Though I'm sad that quality in general is going down.  I was surprised when I had to send my nearly new Wii back for a warranty exchange.

Edit: I also like the power switch on the front.

Good point on the WiiConnect24 not having a fan working to cool it down, I turned off the WiiConnect24 function because of the heating, so Nintendo also has no excuse whatsoever to at least release a patch to fix the issue though.

So all three have reasons to be ashamed, to my eyes at least.
It's a shame though because my GC didn't need any cooling and I only took it once to the Nintendo official repair centre because of a disc-read error, I never heard of xbox's having heating problems, and my PS2 slim is in excellent shape and I've also never heard of heating problems from the PS2.

I've heard about earlier model PS2's and PS1's having heating problems over time..  My Cube didn't have any heating problems but it did have some issues of its own, never being able to complete a circuit of F-Zero without restarting to name one.  Though I think that the fan should be done on temperature alone.  If the system is on the fans should work when the temperature rises.

Did I say I played it more?  I'm backed up on games all the way back to the GameCube days.  In fact, I'm not going to buy Prime 3 until i finish Prime 2, which I'll start after I finish FF XII.

Too many games.

I bought a new stand for my Wii because the old one had the bottom vent covered... and the new one has a fan! Fancy that!

Is it the one that glows in the dark (same color as the blue light on the Wii). Because that is one cool fan/light and the one I have.

Well yeah the carbon copying is most of the elements take out blocking and jumping, adding 3 stances that makes little difference each, make it generic and boring. The thing that bothers me the most were the button press sequences since they have a long window of time and I never knew which was the proper time to press them so I just mashed it until I got a result. But I'm still demanding a Lair demo considering how soon its going to come out.

The Developers of Lair already stated that they will not have a demo till the game is actually released.  They not that on the NeoGaf PSN list.

I just realized that even though Heavenly Sword is heavily steeped in Asian environments and peoples and etc., ALL THESE ASIAN PEOPLE ARE TALKING IN BRITISH ACCENTS!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!

The last person I want to play in a videogame is Kiera Knightley!

I played the demo over the weekend, I was not impressed. How people are hyping this game is beyond me. Though I guess if there's nothing else to hype, something is better than nothing . . .

I found it a repetive button masher, as mentioned before. Too much bloom lighting, while beautifully rendered faces, body detail suffers from low poly count. But the looks matter little in the heat of battle. Especially when you're trying your darndest to figure out how to be consistent with your hits. One time I did hit the 'B' button and grabbed a guy with the blade and swing him around killing everyone in the path, so that was a cool moment. It was also the end of the demo.

I don't know if the demo is indicative of the full game, but if it is its not worth $60.
