Here's my review:

It's a Sega game.

Take what you will from that.

Uh-oh...if there are no reviews, likely Sega sent out now review copies, and that's usually a sign of an iffy game.

Granted, I've had low hopes for this all along...overhead RPG shooter thingies just aren't my cup of tea, so I'm being quite pessimistic.
That's my opinion, not yours.

The last great Sega game?

I'd pick from either Shenmue, Jet Set(Grind) Radio, or Skies of Arcadia. =)

::tears:: DC you were the best.

i hated shenmue! i bought a dc for it and was totally disappointed, sure it had great atmosphere, but bah. jet grind was awesome, skies of arcadia was sweet, but a little TOO linear.

couchmonkey has it right. If there are still no reviews it means that the mailing of review copies is behind schedule. Typically that is done on purpose because the game is crap and they want to sell a few copies before the press tears it apart.

Maybe it was just me, but I thought this game looked like crap anyway.

Jet Grind Radio 2 needs to come out on Wii . . . the tagging system is a perfect match for motion gestures.

Good man Mr. Jack, good man!

Seriously Sega makes no sense sometimes. I think they stopped being really creative after DC died and they released some stuff on Xbox to mediocre results. (Psssttt Sega, that creativeness you had, it'll be great on Wii!)

it seems to me the entire game industry makes no sense to me, much like the government. cant developers know pretty much right away if their game is a steaming turdpile? they should mix jet grind with gta + wifi. teams of 4, tagging a city, do it stealthy or cops come for you, then you have to run enough till you lose the tail. then you have to buff opponents tags , and certains tag spots will be worth more points (like on a huge billboard or something).something like that would be an awesome game right there but it will never happen. also, if you met a rival gang, all ud be able to do is push them aside and slow them down, wii dont need that much violance to have fun. if you get slowed down and cops bust you, your out.  it can either be timed games or play till last man is standing, most tag points win.

It means just that . . . pre release. before release. A copy of a game which isn't released to the general public.

I've got this on reserve and will pick it up tomorrow as well, so count me in therat!

This game is being developed by Totally Games, who I have a particularly warm place in my heart for because these are the guys who developed the original X-Wing series waaay back in like, 91 or 92. I loved those games... absolutely loved them, so I guess nostalgia is making me give these guys a chance, despite them being published by Sega. Also, I had loads of fun with Gauntlet Legends, so any Gauntlet-esque 4 player co-op multiplayer thingie is good with me.

... And I'd be willing to give a lot of Sega's franchises second chances if they came out on the Wii. Panzer Dragoon I've never played before, for example, nor Shenmue.

God I would love for Panzer Dragoon to come out on Wii. I never played it but it looked really good on Xbox.

Shenmue was really an interesting experience though I'm not sure how much water it holds today. I was mainly taken back by (at the time) it's astonishing level of detail (both graphically and atmospherically). It has a really beautiful soundtrack though and still has (IMHO) some of the best voice work ever heard in a game. It was really something to feel like you really were in this community, the areas in the game really felt alive and well real. It was heavily grounded in reality (in a lot of ways, except maybe towards the end when you fight like 100 guys, no exaggeration there. All in all it was a very interesting experiment for a game, to have something so heavily grounded in the realm of realism.

That and it had arcade perfect Space Harrier . . . as I said before <3.

JGR would fit the Wii well, so look for a 360-exclusive announcement.

Yeah Sega REALLY screwed up with those Xbox exclusive games.

I mean come on, did they REALLY think Shenmue 2, JSR:Future and Panzer Dragoon Orta would sell extremely well on the Xbox?

Edit: And Shenmue 2 NEVER coming out on DC in the US was a freaking slap in the face.
