I would like to play a new KI, imagine that on the Wii... you would have to twirl the wiimote like a baton to get off a ULTRA COMBO. It would be iNSANE. It would kinda look like someone was doing sign language for three minutes while flipping the wiimote back in forth between both hands.

Dave Perry (well, Wikipedia spells him David Perry but I'm sure I've seen publications call him Dave so the nickname doesn't seem to be reseved for that TV guy) was the big guy at Shiny Entertainment, the company that made Earthworm Jim, MDK and Sacrifice. Apparently he's the one who decided to make Earthworm Jim for the PSP.

Seems he resigned in 2006 though.

Wow...this thread could have had a valid point if the rant named games, and instead of trying to be humorous, but enough though in to be humorous and insightful.

There seriously is something wrong with many of the fighting games designed.  You either have that Combo extreme system that isn't very realistic and frustrating, or you have a game that can be over with you being hit 5-8 times and your life is gone...and I am not talking combos...I am talking single hits.  

Both solutions are not good.

And you expected us to pass up on delicious PIE? I agree that there should be more 2d fighting games that aren't over-the-top combo crazy or excessive uni-hit slug (as in the slow creature) fests. I personally like the over-the-top combo crazy games, but usually so many things are going on at the same time, it gets confusing (unless you get used to it). I really think all three should have a place, but right now the 1st one is dominating in popularity (or taking a huge percentage of the overall popularity of 2d fighters).
