Lack of MP is weird indeed though maybe it's designed in a way that simply doesn't allow MP. I hope it's not just lazyness or cost-cutting.

As I recall, the multiplayer was the only GOOD thing about the original. Maybe they're worried they can't compete with The Conduit. But if they added split-screen, they sure as hell could.

No multiplayer would suck, I can't believe they had the guts to go Motion+ only (it's how it should be, I'm just surprised they did it), dual wielding sword and gun would be awesome, especially with a lock-on system like Metroid Prime 3.

They did say that there is a lot of stuff that they can't mention yet in the NP interview so multiplayer might online only.

The Metroid Prime 3 lock-on was just an idea of mine, not anything official. It would allow you to be sword-fighting a guy and have your movement be based on him while giving you the freedom to take shots at any other enemies that might be nearby. I think the game could definitely work in first-person, but a third-person RE4-style behind-the-back camera could be good too.

I assume that means the game can't be played without Motion+, which would most likely mean it comes packed in as per Nintendo's rules.
