"Classic controller sucks Wiggler-balls for anything made after the SNES era."

Well with the VC that's like, what, four games.

Good lineup today.  All those games are classics for their respective consoles.

So is there some big conspiracy to keep this week's VC titles from being reviewed?  Neither Retro Roundup nor our very own Virtual Console Mondays has been updated for this week.  This is the greatest travesty known to man.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Indeed. NWR has failed us.

Does anyone know if we will get Virtual Console releases today, or will the holiday kill it?

We got VC games on Christmas and on New Year's Day.  I don't see why we wouldn't get them today.

::Hopes for SMB2::

EDIT:  VC games for today:

ActRaiser (SNES)
Kid Chameleon (Genesis)
JJ & Jeff (TurboGrafx 16)

No SMB2, but I guess I can't complain about ActRaiser.  I've never played it, but after hearing so much about it, I just might have to drop 800 points.

ActRaiser looks promising. When I have more money, I might have to consider buying it later.

All VC purchases have been put on hiatus until I buy a 2.0 GB SD Card sometime in summer.

Wait, so you can afford all those terrible games, but not a $30 memory card?

Remember you can delete a game and re-download it later for no additional cost.

I plan to once I get a new Wii points card.  Their hard to find, and I prefer to limit my online credit card purchases.  It's at the very top of my list.

I actually saw a couple of Wii points cars at the MSRP price at a Target I popped into once. Of course, the Target was a little out of the way, not a "city" target, but it was still awesome to see it and it took all of my willpower to not buy it on the spot.

Yes. I DO have willpower.

I know this is way wicked late, but if you can't play Starfox 64 in one sitting, you need to take some goddamn Ritalin. The game is like, an hour long. MAX.

StarFox 64 has multiple paths. You'd have to play it at least 3 times to play every stage. Also, if you get a good enough score on a stage, you get a medal. You can also unlock a harder dificulty (by getting all the medals? I forget). Then you can try and get medals again on every stage. Assuming you were good enough to get all medals on all stages each time you play through the game, it'd take 6 playthroughs, 6 hours to do everything. :B Depends on how much of a completist you are.

Or he's busy, I know I had issues playing Sonic on the GC (Mega Collection) because I had to play it all in one sitting and if I had to stop playing for any reason I'd have to forfeit my progress.

Okay, so Actraiser's awesome. Look into considering the possibility of maybe purchasing it, because 8 dollars is FREAKING CHEAP for one of the best SNES games I've ever played. Seriously, it's awesome (but don't blame me if you don't like the action stuff, which is admittedly dry).

Actraiser is a great game.

I wonder if they will ever release Actraiser 2?
That game was bone crushingly hard.

Ahhh... Milon's Secret Castle. Such good memories!

Hold down left and press start when you die after getting the first crystal.

Most Hudson NES games have a continue feature similar to this.

EDIT: the only way to save progress is by returning to the Wii menu and continuing from where you left off. The game has no other way to save. You can only continue as mentioned above. :B
