Well right now I'm playing my master quest game.  Umm the only suggestion I can give you is to play any other games you have beacause before you know it March 24 will be here.  I remember when It was like a month or two before the preorder deal even started.  I just played Metroid Prime and any other games I had and it went by fast.  Also my school has been keeping me busy with a crap load of assignments so March 24th will come fast as heck to me.

"So if anyone has any advise for waiting for zelda i would be glad to hear it."

While you are waiting you could:

1) Go outside and go for a walk
2) Teach yourself to play the Kazoo
3) Teach your dog, cat, bird etc to play the Kazoo
4) Learn a new language.
5) Study third world politics and their economic effect on the downfall of the neo-nazi socialist infrastructure.
6) Just relax and enjoy life until Zelda comes out.

Waiting for Zelda is one of my past times. Twilight Princess was pretty good. I found myself humming the music severly missing it. I was away from my condo for a week and it was stolen. It was just too bad. I can't wait for this next Zelda game. I'm really interested in links relationship to that other character, who as everyone guess must be the master sword. However, I'm betting they might scrap their whole game concept before anything new is revealed. So what does everyone think the next Zelda will be called?

I like Master the Sword Zelda Super Adventure.

BUMPASAURUS?

It's easy to wait for Zelda by not waiting for it.  There's nothing to be excited about.

I've recently become enchanted with the fact that holding the Wii Remote allows me to move a pointer on the screen, enabling me to SHOOT my enemies.

I've never been more excited for any Zelda like am I for the new one. And you know what? I couldn't even care about who's in the game, what's it looked like, where it's at, or when it takes place. I am just so damn excited to learn how it PLAYS and from what view point we play it from.

I'm sure he was referring to the tacked on motion controls and uninspired game play.
But it would be nice if he meant more than that.

Well don't forget one of Miyamoto's latest quotes something along the lines of "It wont be that much different from TP"

Can someone find the exact quote? It was disturbing to say the least.

Edit: Here we go

'''The context of the quote is iffy, but Miyamoto is purportedly quoted as saying of the next Wii Zelda: "I don't think it's going to be that radically different." '

Well I imagine that to save time and money that they are just going to re-use the twilight engine, but it will be another art change. It will be a Zelda TP sequal rather than a Zelda sequal. I think EAD has some much bigger projects on backburner at the moment and I think things for Wii are going to be pretty bare. Its going to be similar to how Mario Galaxy 2, looks exactly like Mario Galaxy 1. Nintendo usually starts from scratch, but I don't think they will this time. That being said it looks like there will be at least be character redesign.

I'm hoping maybe they bring back Kaffee like character, and maybe Tingle could make an appearance.

I really just want to see some zany environments. I really liked the idea of a sky island, and I hope they expand upon the idea. Sometimes TP just got a little to "normal" for me, want something zany, but not Mario abstract.

C'mon, i'm sure they could work it into the story.. Wizard transforms link and sends him to a crazy cookie world where everything is made up of sweets like cake and icecream, meanwhile link himself is a pink bunny (a throwback to ALTtP).

I sort of agree.  I think Nintendo has to be a little smarter in recognizing when to listen to the fans and when not to.  Most fans don't make good suggestions because they're not creative.  So they just rattle off what they liked in the past.  They fail to realize that part of the appeal of what they liked in the past was that it was once brand new and thus exciting to them.  They really want to feel a certain way again, not do literally the same thing.

Another thing is that just because their is backlash against change does not mean that change is no good, it just means a specific change was bad.  No one liked FLUDD but Super Mario Galaxy wasn't just Super Mario 64 2.  It had this new planet stuff which was well received.  They were both new ideas so why did one succeed and the other didn't?  Well it was because FLUDD sucked and the planet stuff was fun.

So understand this, Nintendo.  Fans don't like it when you bait-and-switch a graphic style that everyone loved with one that looked like it was designed for Treehouse TV.  Fans don't like it when you replace an exciting overworld with a big blue ocean of nothing.  These changes were not unpopular because Wind Waker wasn't a cookie-cutter sequel to Ocarina of Time.  It was because these changes SUCKED.  Those that complained did not like them.  And when Spirit Tracks was revealed nobody that is iffy about the train stuff feels that way because it's different, it's because they don't like the specific idea itself.

So go for broke with the next Zelda.  Do some creative stuff and like most of the other Zelda games introduce whatever creative new ideas you want.  Maybe those ideas will not be well received but that's the risk you run.  Every Zelda (except A Link to the Past, everyone seems to like that one) has its share of haters.  That's just the way things are.

But I do not want to play Twilight Princess 2.  And, ****, this time I won't even be able to buy a Gamecube with non-stupid controls.  I do not want cookie-cutter Zelda with waggle.

What I would really like is for Nintendo to totally sell me on the remote (and Motion+ I suppose).  I want to think "man this game could never be done on a normal controller... and I would never want it to."  Tall order, probably impossible, but that would be sweet.

Wow, more Wind Waker hate, Wind Waker was a great great great game, not sucky in a Mario Sunshine way at all, and mario sunshine was only a little sucky. I do remember loving Twilight Princess, but at the same time I could think of a huge list of things that were awesome in Wind Waker that got left out in TP. One thing I really loved was when you killed an enemy they dropped a weapon, that you could use. Sailing got boring at times, but the islands you landed at were always quite intriguing. Twilight Princess, I love, but it was Oot 2.0 Sometimes sailing was awesome too, like whne you encountered that giant octopus. The characterization was great, and while link was chibi all the characters had way more personality. Wind Waker didn't have just a change in look, it had an improvement in controls, combat, and many other nice tweaks, Watching sets of anime, and having played all the zelda games over the years I think thats the future of Zelda.  Eventually it's going to be one fantastic looking world. EAD makes little experiments along the way and Wind Waker was one of them. There were times in the game when things were beautiful. there was even some cell shading in TP. I think there is going to be a game in the future that has a real cel shaded look, and its not going to be cel shading per se, its going to be the next generation of cartoon style games. Its going to be a more detailed drawing.

I think Wind Waker is an awesome game.  If someone asked me to recommend them some Gamecube games that would be near the top of the list.  I like it better than Twilight Princess.  Though for someone who had never played Ocarina of Time, TP would probably be the ideal choice.  If all that stuff was new to you, you would think it was the greatest ever made.

I liked Wind Waker but it was flawed in two ways that really turned me off and I wasn't alone in that.  But Nintendo vastly overreacted to those complaints with such a cookie-cutter Zelda.  Twilight Princess feels like Nintendo taking complaints about Wind Waker personally and making a dull generic Zelda out of spite.  And I fucking HATE IT when Wind Waker lovers point at Twilight Princess and say "well this is what you wanted, right?" with this smug attitude.  No it isn't.  Never was.

I'm not even that opposed to cel-shading but rather the specific artistic design Nintendo went with.  I found it too juvenile, like Nintendo was very specifically going for the Pokemon crowd.  They also gave us the impression it would look completely different and I never appreciated that (perhaps accidental but still idiotic) deception.

I'm with you Ian, only that for me, I really liked the look of the characters. Not just how bright and cherry everything was, but the models themselves really grew on me. I just wish the islands were bigger, dolphins followed Link's boat, and bigger pirate ships.

I have allot of really fond memories in WW. TP I thought the boss battles were very awesome, but what really detracted from my experience was the music! That last temple with the classic Zelda 2 music? or what about the goron theme? Both start off really nice but they never ever take off! It's just the same lame little beat over and over. Like Nintendo just went over emo with the sound track in that game.

You know what I loved the most in TP? The river boat mini game! The music was cheery and had a beat I could hum all day long. Then the rest of the game sounded more like just back ground noises than music.

It doesn't have to be cheery either. The forest temple in Ocarina? How creepy and catchy is that song? Sounds like some ancient demon is singing in the shower.

WW's over world, ending, and many of the island themes were so well done, as well as Ocarina. I loved TP but the music really made me not want to play the game again. I tried beating it a second time but just can't. I beat WW like 3 times, Ocarina like 5, MM about 3, LA about twice, and so on. I usualy love going through them again to get everything but I can't stand the music in TP. Someone prove me wrong and remind me of some really good temple songs or something in TP.

But I do Love TP, I like how its animated with motion capture, the facial expressions of the characters and the weapons especially. It's just hard for me to play again when I can't listen to a great tune.

TP's good parts don't last long at all.

Agitha's Castle is the best part of the game, but Nintendo never capitalized on it.  I can only hope for a full Zelda game about a bug world and Princess Agitha.

Wind Waker blew, the best Zelda ever was Wand of Gamelon. I think they should go back to putting cartoon inserts into zelda games, the animation in those was awesome. I like it how when king hyrule talks its like he's doing sign language.
