"Barrel, unlike ceric, decoyman, and khush....I am Chuck Norris"

He says, as blood dribbles down his chin, as his surroundings go dark.
“...there are those who would...say, '...If I could just not have to work everyday...that would be the most wonderful life in the world.' They don't know life. Because what makes life mean something is purpose.  The battle. The struggle.  Even if you don't win it.” - Richard M. Nixon

By the way, Great Barrel, you should PM first before you bring me back in the game so that I don't target you. I'd hate to make a mistake and appear ingrateful.

Yes, sir, you bring me back in the game and make me the bomber again, it will be like a typhoon hit the game thanks to my vote immunity and my partnership with you.

(Legal speak. Khushrenada is in no way obligated to or required to fulfill said typhoon actions. Moreover, Khushrenada is unable to guarentee vote immunity or mafia hit immunity. Any action or result that does resemble the earlier statement is purely accidental.)

Now, let's take a moment to look at my competition.

Decoyman - Makes vague promises but says nothing specific. Plus, he's just suddenly decided to remove his built in rumble pak. Also, he's just delayed his plans to work with Europeans until 2007.

Ceric - Appearently, he works at Quiznos and hates Jamaicans. Not exactly the life skills one would be looking for.

Wandering - He's Chuck Norris. I can't really beat that. Although, (just grasping at straws here), one must wonder how nobody figured out he was Chuck Norris until now. Plus, why use the alias "Wandering"? Why would Chuck Norris hide his identity with that instead of just using his name? I can't see Chuck Norris hiding. That to me suggests that this is an imposter and not the real Chuck Norris. Or maybe Chuck Norris's evil twin brother, *uck Norris!

So, yeah. PM S-U-P-E-R and lets get this party started.
Whoever said, "Cheaters never win" must've never met Khushrenada.

If I'm not Chuck Norris, then the barrel isn't a magical barrel that can restore you back to life. Or even a barrel.

Speaking of mafia, when do we get to find out whether or not I'm a mafia member? THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME.

Khushrenada is right!

Wandering is not the real Chuck Norris!

I am!

My instincts told me there was something wrong on the Planetgamecube site and sure enough, my instincts were right!

Which reminds me. That should have been a tip-off right there. Chuch Norris doesn't puch people. He roundhouse kicks 'em! Be more observant in the future people.

And so passes the dumbest person to ever play mafia.

...no, not me!

I don't understand why people don't get that the townies are morons (myself included.) Better to "waste" a vote than leave an actual decision in their hands.

...yes, now they have to make a decision anyway, but more information is on the table. Who needs to be voted out is more obvious.

You bring up a good point Wandering. And that's why the barrel should bring me back in this game. Brought back as the bomber means no one would want to vote against me. With no one voting against me, I would make them vote with me. Yes, by bringing me back. I can give out my theories, which I can't do while I'm dead, and lead these troops to the end zone.

It's probably not going to happen. The barrel is probably some one who hates me. But you now what? But aside your hate and anger. It will only lead you to the dark side.

Ah, the tragedy that was Day 3. I see it as the biggest turning point in the game thus far. If the townies don't win, I think we could trace it back to that fateful night.

I feel like a broken record, and it's a moot point now anyways. Yet, I feel compelled to try to explain one more time in the hopes that next time people, even if they don't fully agree with or understand the plan, will give me the benefit of the doubt.

There were TWO LIKELY OUTCOMES:
1. Ceric is voted out. This would allow Mad Gear to take out a townie (Pryo) instead of Ceric. Likelihood that Mad Gear would take out a townie: 100%. One townie dead, one known (and townie-friendly) mafia member dead. Score 1-1.*
2. Someone else is voted out. It would be too tempting for Mad Gear to allow Ceric to live, so I was 99% sure that they would use their hit on him. ALSO, I had suspicions about others at that point, and had attempted to start a bandwagon. There was at least the CHANCE that we would get a Mad Gear member. With option 1, there'd be no chance at all. One potential Mafia dead (time will tell if I was right), one known mafia dead. Score: possibly 2 for the townies.

Well, there was one other possible (but very unlikely) outcome:
3. Someone else is voted out and Ceric isn't hit. Even THIS is preferrable to what actually happened. There'd be the chance we'd get a mafia with our vote, AND Ceric would be alive the next day to help us out with a hit AND a vote. We could easily re-coop the previous night's loss AND keep us safe from a Mad Gear hit the next day.

With ANY OTHER option, we would've been better off. Maybe it's partly my fault, and I didn't explain the logic behind not voting for Ceric well enough. But dang, if I didn't try. I contacted no less than 4 people to plead my case, to no avail, in addition to all my posts in the thread.

* Lastly, and this was an unforeseen situation (for me at least)... At least in part because no one saw the logic of the plan and sided with me, I ended up being hit by Haggar. He dies, I die, Pryo dies. Actual score that night? 1-3, Mad Gear wins the night handily. I think we can all agree in hindsight that going with option 1. proved VERY bad for the townies in the end.

Yeah, when you put it that way, in retrospect, we probably made the wrong choice.

I think the problem was that your (and others) main point was that Ceric could be used as weapon for the townies, when it was clear that that didn't make much sense.

Also, I think one big reason we invaded Ceric was that we thought there was a connection between him and the other mafia. We thought he was developing the means to destroy the remaining townies by hitting them with a weapon for massive damage. But our intelligence on these matters turned out to be faulty, and now the townies have really become destabalized. Ceric was a bad guy, no doubt about that, and we're all glad he's gone. But it's true that there are other, more brutal, mafia dictators out there, and it may have been better for us to have tried to after one of them... even if the chances of success would have been less. Oh well. No turning back now, cutting and running would only lead to the mafia taking over. So we have to stay the course.

Yeah, and that wasn't my original point (it was a just long-shot bonus if he happened to live through the night).

I think Ceric was probably doomed already... but he could've been a body shield for a townie from a Mad Gear hit, at least. After I saw that people weren't taking that alone as enough reason, I started pulling out the other reasons not to vote for him, even if they were long shots.

As it turned out, maybe I should've just stuck to reinforcing my original reason. Oh, well.

P.S. - I don't think townies have to be dumb. They may be clueless at the beginning, but there are plenty of clues around, especially if they dig for them.

Maybe if they started voting for who they actually thought was mafia instead of blindly following bandwagons....

Your logic of voting out a random person from the game fails on many levels.  You kill what you know.  Had the townies actually killed me instead of Ceric and then Wandering, you'd have two townies dead.  And since the townies are already a massive bunch of failures, I can't imagine trusting them to vote correctly on anything.  Seriously, what the hell did Wandering do to earn suspicion?

Of course, I agree not voting out a known mafia member feels wrong, and I don't think what we made a bad decision. It seemed logical to think Ceric was up to something devious, even if we didn't know what.

But you see, it's not just random. I had suspicions at that point, didn't you? I had a little post-it on my desktop that had everyone's names, and all my suspicions spelled out, with what roles I thought people had. You dispelled my suspicions about you, so we stopped going after you. That's the way townies should be.

And I can't believe, if you had to do it again, that you would choose a way that would for SURE get a townie killed (ironically, it ended up getting YOU killed), instead of opting for the chance at getting a Mad Gear member. Ceric wasn't going anywhere, unless it was at Mad Gear's hands.

I'll say no more. My logic is quite sound.
