OH GOD! so know Wind Waker's battles aren't awesome? are you insane?

Theres no cryptic science into knowing how sword fights will work with the remote, how will the next Mario work may be a little mindboggling, but sword fights are pretty straight forward, you slash the remote and the character reflects the movement. Theres no chance for "cool" (a.k.a unrealistic) sword fights full of impossible moves, jumps and the like, how will the parry attack from the Wind Waker work for instance? or the spin attack? swirling the remote in the air wont do it.

Mantidor, you should know that it is a cryptic science to know how Nintendo games will be played. That is...unless you KNEW they were going to use z-targeting before they did it... oh my god... you...you KNEW! DIDN'T YOU! YOU KNEW ALL THIS TIME!

I see what your saying, but just like Red Steel, Nintendo can activate a special move through a series of realistic sword gestures.

Also, I always saw the parry as....well.......childish. It was cheap and way to easy to pull off. The strategy to defeat most enemies was influenced by it to such a great effect that most fights consisted of this:

Wait for it

Wait for it

Wait for it

*enemy starts to swing*

Now!

That's pretty shallow.

Yeah, the WW battle system gave the player such a seamless experience that it almost trivialized any such encounter.

It's funny how you started out with "yeah" as if your agreeing with me, then later on blow my post out of the water.

Whatever.......to each their own.

I would just like to say that if you don't think that it can get any better, then I pity you.

im definately going to the World Store for the live e3 coverage and the closer to tuesday it gets the more i blissfully wish they had some Wii demo stations available. like as soon as the live coverage is done they could be like "by the way, look to your left (pull curtain up) tadaa go play with our Wii's!!!"

but that is only a dream

I think people are over reacting to the Zelda stuff.  Problem is that a lot of folks want a remote controlled Zelda, but I think everyone forgets that TP is it's own game.  Chances are the Zelda demonstrations were demonstrations of how the remote could be used in Zelda.  I'm sure they're working on how to build those mechanics, but it's not going to be the main mechanics behind TP.

EasyCure, that would be so cool, even if I don't live in the USA, though it would be cool if Nintendo had a special event here in Toronto.

Yeah....your most likely right, but I hope your wrong.

Nothing sells the Wii (at least to me) better than the image of Link riding into battle on his steed with his trusty sword held high into the air. If the Wii allows me to do that myself, then I am sold on the concept.

Have you all missed my offer?  I give you 10 bucks, you don't buy a Wii, everyone is happy.
