First of all, Silks, THANKS! I looove getting appraisal´s. So done with that part of my reply, on to the next part:
DS not doing enything new? Are you kiddin´? There is no where that the PSP give you so many NEW ways of playing with the known types of franchise characters in their respective gameworlds as on the DS. And that´s just the start! We haven´t seen nothing yet! Sony and PSP ARE rehashing the same gameplay over and over again, and which has people tired of it after a short time looking to the next game on the short list of PSP games so far on offer.
Also, the DS is far cheaper to develope for, as opposed to the PSP which is a developer nightmare, as it is a portable Ps2 demanding huge leaps in graphical power that drain batteries fast. This means less playtime, and more annoying battery-changes/-purchases, not to mention high-cost original 1. party games that will be scarce - expensive as they are to make and leaving the rest to third-parties who will mostly just directly port their existing games library over to the machine (or just slightly enhancing certain of them in various ways). But that is still nothing compared to DS, and what it will boast as per gameplay innovation in upcoming games. The developers love it, and they will make full use of it´s awesome possibilities. DS winns!
