Anyone who's been following the history of Japanese sales I guess.

I mean, I'm as perturbed by this as you are... until I remember that Zelda: TP didn't break a million in Japan either, nor did Sunshine. I think that in many ways, Nintendo's key franchises of Mario, Zelda, and Metroid are actually all more associated to the Western market than the Japanese one.

I don't know what I'm more suprised about 360 outselling PS3 in Japan or seeing DOAX2 on the charts albeit very low on the charts.

Incidentally, I'm really impressed with PSP.  I was certain that sales would drop back to the previous level after a month or two but it looks like Sony has hit a new sweet spot with the slim PSP.

The question is, is the PSP Slim expanding the market for the PSP or are the same people who owned a PSP just buying the new model?  Because if it's the second one and Sony is still selling the PSP Slim at a loss then the sales don't do them any good.

Not true - since a lot of gamers will sell their old PSP (or give it to a sibling), it'll still increase the amount of units in the hands of players - thus increasing the userbase.
