Four Horsemen Of the Apocalypse???
« on: January 17, 2005, 03:37:56 PM »
Does anyone know what the deal is with the game. I know that nobody bought the franchise when 3D0 folded. But then I remember reading that some of the guys that were working on the game formed Four Horsemen Entertainment. So does anyone know anything new about this game, because it looked really promising??

I heard a while back that the game's developers made there own company and took the game with them, as wells as hearing that it will come out on the next line-up of systems.

I thought Microsoft snatched up the rights to the game?

I thought aliens destroyed 3D0 and used the game's creative energy to power their space ship (ended up making it only halfway back LOL)?

Hey hudsonhawk, we don't know how credible this article still is? For all we know, the company folded and the franchise crumbled. But judging by the fact that Stan Winston Creatures still has the figure line as a "Future release", one could probably assume that the game/movie/graphic novel is still going to be released. This is what can assume and hope, because I will be buying a "revolution" if it is released on it. If not: PC version, here I come.

Well, you don't... but I can't imagine they would have secured the rights and brought over the key developers unless they had enough venture capital to see the project through to completion.

To be fair, that's basically speculation on my part.  But a small company like this probably won't even try to secure a publisher until the game is in beta, and will stay under the radar until they have one lined up.  Not to mention that it may have to move to the next generation for timing issues.

In other words, either you'll hear about it when it's done, or it'll end up in the graveyard of great games that will never be, like Prey and Dead Rush.
