I have yet to complete any campaign on Expert or really even try.
It takes patience and I would have alot more of that with 3 other players that weren't computers.

It's a long shot to do it with pubbies, you need to get a "crew" together. Make friends with the best players you play with and pubbie stomp a lot and then work on those experts.

Also getting expert is (arguably) easier on some mutations (weekly gametypes), such as last man on earth, chainsaw massacre, etc. Maybe the four swordsmen one? I never tried that one.

Running expert on some mutations comes pretty close to cheating as it destroys the thought that goes in to the maps. Since then it has lost a lot of it's meaning.

Gib Fest is going on right now. It'd probably be pretty easy with that. I've had the achievement for a while and didn't find it too difficult. Surprisingly, Dark Carnival gave us the most trouble back then.

I don't think so. I don't have many friends on Steam since I don't play many multiplayer PC games.

Morari & Kraken (or anyone else):  Is there any reason to buy the original L4D these days?  I'm under the impression that you can get all the original maps on L4D2.  I ask because both games are currently on sale for ~$7 each or ~$10 for both.  I want to pick up L4D2 but is there any reason for me to get bundle?

Note:  "It's only three dollars!" is not a reason.

It's worth getting it just for a quick romp. After playing it you can see the improvements made to L4D2 and understand some of the generally overblown bitching regarding L4D1/L4D2. Get some story, have some change of scenery. It is a less intense game than L4D2 though. Final campaign for L4D2 it is not unusual to see 3000+ zombie kills. L4D1 tend to have kill counts less than half that.

Just get the bundle, at that price they are almost giving it away (Which they did for some 50k of people with L4D2).

Um, just played an intense L4D1 session with some friends. Man do I love that game a much darker tone that the second, its actually tons of fun to just play campaign in it. L4D2 is much brighter and went for the lighter B-Movie style compared to L4D1. Found some awesome easter-eggs while playing today. (One a mini model city under the map, the other very, very creepy noises in a certain room.)

After playing so much L4D1 today I really want to play more of it, the maps are just brilliant.

I'm up for some co-op on both L4D1 and L4D2 (PC version, of course). I'm not very familiar with the sequel yet, as I only just finished installing it, but that shouldn't be a problem.

I am up for a game, but be warned that I am in New Zealand, so to the West coast of the US is about 250ms. Not good enough for verses, but If you want to roll for some campaign fun, I am good to go.

Here is a quick mini review of the Mac version.

Functional identical in every way to the PC with one cavet. Graphical performance is a little behind. Visually it is nearly identical. The flash light cones from other players are a little more noticeable and the circle of light is softer. There are periodic random pauses that last about 1/4 of a second not found in the PC version. I am playing with maxed out settings.

The expected patch or two should really clean thing up, but unless you are really OCD for performance, there is no reason not to play this on a Mac.
