Yeah, I've heard rumors of a "Stratos Track Pack" recently.

Ha!

Gee, what would my track pack have?

Nightwish, definitely Nightwish.
Santana, more Within Temptation and some Evanescence would be nice too.

Though I'll probably get some Santana kicks from the Greatest Hits game coming soon.

I just want Prince.  That's all.  Maybe with a side of Frank Zappa too.

May's DLC:

May 7th, Free Metalcore Track Pack
"Dez Moines"- The Devil Wears Prada
"On Broken Glass"- Chimaira
"Grave of Opportunity" -Unearth

May 14th, Pop Rock track pack
"So What?" -P!nk
"Stop and Stare"- OneRepublic
"Everything's Magic"- Angels & Airwaves

May 21st, Euro Track Pack 5
"Disconnected"- In Flames
"Look Good in Leather"- Cody ChestnuTT
"Oh Yeah!"- Housse de Racket

Really random month of DLC IMO.  Really weird to stick "Look Good in Leather" in a track pack with In Flames in it.  May 28th without a doubt will have something, I dunno why Neversoft loves to not tell us the entire month.  But, generally the hidden generally have stuff that really pleases fans.  (South Rock Track pack w/ Black Betty and The Rise Against Track Pack really made people happy).

Both no Prince and the DLC list are disappointing.

Maybe if Beatles and some others sell well he'll change his mind. I know Led Zeppelin also refuses to have their stuff released. We still have a few hold outs but I think eventually everyone will acquiesce.

Sure, eventually everyone will... once they've died and their heirs sell of the rights because they have no integrity. :P

Yup!

Hendrix songs are available on Wii even in spite of the supposed 'artistic integrity' rule where they had to be sold as a three pack. I think the sales of the HD versions of Hendrix songs combined with the amount of Wii versions of World Tour influenced this change. $$$ speaks quite persuasively.

I dunno... Prince is...well, Prince. His new album is a Target exclusive. Why limit your music to one chain? He does what he wants. I believe he owns all his music, a very rare feat, and I don't think he has any children/heirs.

“I ain’t mad at them. I hear it made, like, $US2 billion and they came to us and offered us a very small portion of that. But I just think it’s more important that kids learn how to actually play the guitar”, he told Smiley.

Activsion can't honestly think they can negotiate with him like any other artist. This is Prince we're talking about. If they want Guitar Hero: Prince Edition, they're going to have to fork over some serious dough. Which would no doubt be passed on to us...  :-[

That's what MTV Games is doing. They are passing on the cost to consumers, and that is why they are trying to screw consumers by charging $250 for the full Beatles set-up. I hope it bombs or else they and Activision Blizzard will continue increasing prices of their music games.

Nope and nope.  He doesn't any of the music he made for Buton's Batman and he has 1 child.

I would seriously play extra for a love symbol guitar model though.

Damn, didn't know that. But hey, 1 album out of 20+ albums ain't bad right?

Neversoft confirmed yesterday that Stan Bush's "The Touch" would be free next week.

This is one of the greatest and most pwnsome songs ever.

Wait ... which version?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

i'm assuming the original, as that's the video Neversoft gave as an example of.

It better be.

I think I'm experiencing a bug in World Tour, but I can't find any mention of it on the official support site, and googling for anything GH related is a nightmare.  Some of the lead guitar parts in certain songs are really quiet, and I think off beat, but it's hard to be sure about that because of the first problem.  For example, if a guitar part in-game switches between an unplugged rhythm guitar and an electric lead, the rhythm part might be barely audible, and the lead part would come in loud and clear.  It could be the other way around on a different song, but always the same way on the same song.  It's especially obvious in "Go Your Own Way."  I've also noticed it in "Band on the Run" and a couple others.

Has anyone heard of this problem before?

I'd rather accept the aboriginal clue over this section of fail. That song would be abundant added fun to play again Blinks "Dammit" abnormally on drums (since Travis wasn't even their bagman if that song was recorded..)

Anyone spending their free Wii Rock Band points on GH songs instead? I haven't checked their store in a while. I'll have to hop on and see whats new.
