Nintendo Gaming / RE: MP3 Disc read errors?
« on: August 29, 2007, 06:11:39 AM »
Yes i have.  Considers me "up to date".  Nintendo said they would contact me within a week with either a solution or asking me to bring my wii in.

Nintendo Gaming / MP3 Disc read errors?
« on: August 29, 2007, 03:21:56 AM »
I briefly touched on this issue in the other MP3 topic, but I figured it needs its own topic.  Long story short, I bought the game yesterday, got an error.  Replaced it, new one worked for a bit, and now same error.  This is a known issue, and it's not   limited to me.  I've also seen a thread at Nintendo's site regarding this.  Notice I've posted at both sites.  I've been on the phone with Nintendo twice regarding this.  I talked to a rep this morning, who informed me that they also know about the situation, and it is not just limited to myself or a couple others.  Apparently it has to do with the update that the game performed before being able to play the game.  I wonder if anyone on these boards is having this problem?  Either way, I thought I'd just let people know that this is a known issue, and that Nintendo has told me that they are working on the problem, and hope to have it resolved soon.

I exchanged the game, and still got the error with the new copy. But then I shut off my wii, waited a good hour, and tried again and it worked.  Weird stuff.  Otherwise, I LOVE this game!!

Well I talked to my work.  If it is defective I can exchange it for the same game, and they handle getting the defective copy shipped to nintendo.

Well I know the policy there is that a new game cannot be exchanged.  But I'm not sure, if I explain the situation they might do it.

Anyone else having a problem where MP3 just will not work?  It's been a nightmare.  I picked up my copy from my work today, and come home and did the system update.  Then when it read in the disc channel, I go to start the game, and i got a "disc read error".  Every other game I own works but this one.  I called nintendo and they told me to send it to them for repair.  Its cool that they are paying for all the shipping, but I'll be without my copy for 2-3 weeks.!  I can't find anyone else with the same problem online.  Its impossible that I'm the only one out of everyone who bought the game to be having problems.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Was anyone else disappointed by E3 this year?
« on: July 15, 2007, 08:15:54 AM »
I agree that I was expecting some sort of mega announcement or two, the games mentioned above were great to see.  I'm exciting for a number of those shown at e3, but I guess I expected something more.

The new announcements are great, as well as the updated info on existing news.  But, am I the only one a bit disappointed by Nintendo's showings this e3? Maybe its because Nintendo spoiled us so much last e3 but still...

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Mortal Kombat Wii
« on: June 03, 2007, 12:10:10 PM »
I'm a big fan of the mortal kombat series, so I'd buy it.  However if you arn't a MK fan or a fighter fan, a rental should be enough.

I think it makes for a fine addition to the wii library.  I hope this encourages other fighters to be made for the wii, as MKA shows it can be done.   The controls can be shoddy at times, but overall work fine after you practice.  It took me around 20 minutes to get timing right, but once you get it right, it beats the 1000 button combos anyday.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Manhunt 2 from Rockstar? Whoa...
« on: May 27, 2007, 04:43:05 PM »
At first I had no plan on buying it.  I played Manhunt 1, liked it, but not enough to bother buying.  But IGN's impressions really have me wanting it now.  At the least I will rent it beforehand, and then buy it.

It will come.  The set up of the controller is just asking for one.  Sega Bass Fishing would be totally awesome.

I've been so busy with work I havn't been able to update the list on the parent post.  If anyone wants to compile the list up and pm me the list I'll edit the post.  I know I wont have time for it.

I started making a list in the first thread.  I have work on weekdays, but will try to work on the list as much as possible.  Hopefully a mod will help with the list.  So far I've only got a few NES games on there, but i'm working on it.  I'll add some more later tonight.  I have been using this as my release date list.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Nunchuk faulty?
« on: March 06, 2007, 11:15:47 AM »
Its pushing down as if it were the L3/R3 button on a playstation controller.  I do suppose your right its just wear and tear.  It hasnt affected gameplay whatsoever yet so I dont think I will contact Nintindo about it.  Thanks for the reply.

Nintendo Gaming / Nunchuk faulty?
« on: March 06, 2007, 07:07:34 AM »
I just noticed the analog stick on my nunchuck kind of "clicks" in if i push on it.  It continues to work normally, but i am worried this might be the start of a problem.  Has anyone else had this issue; should I send it in to nintendo or live with it?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: "Secret Rings" doesn't suck...
« on: March 03, 2007, 08:46:35 AM »
I rented the game a few days ago, and have had a few days to play through it.  Im into the fourth world.  I do think its the best sonic since sonic adventure (the first dreamcast one), i still think the controls kill any fun I can have with it.  The world its in is great, as are the graphics.  But the unresponsiveness of the controls really makes me feel more frusteration then anything.  By no means do i plan to give up on the game until I beat it, but I just am disappointed, and i suppose expected more.  If there is a part 2 ever, I hope they can fix the controls for the otherwise fine game.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Wii Third Party Domination
« on: February 27, 2007, 12:23:49 AM »
The increasing amount of third parties is really exciting.  N64 and Gamecube had nothing on wii (so far) for 3rd party. It's only going to get better from here.

I had no problem with farcry (graphics aside), until the glitch came.  I dont know about you, but in the level where there are like 4 sniper towers connected by bridges no matter what i did the game would just freeze before crossing the first bridge.  Reading online forums showed me also that I was not the only one suffering from this problem.  Id expect this from a PC game, but not a console game.  If a patch ever shows up I may try it again. otherwise im not putting it in my wii again.
