Nintendo Gaming / I just beat the TTS! warning:spoilers
« on: March 18, 2004, 09:22:42 PM »
I just finished the game, and loved every second of it!  I have never played MGS before, and this game has quickly become one of my two favorites for the cube (along with The Wind Waker).  I have a couple questions though about the things unlocked after beating the game.  #1.) I was wondering if there is any way to skip directly to a cut scene in the viewer, and 2.) If there is any way to get the code given to you after you beat the game.  I must have written mine down wrong or something, as the website says mine is invalid.  Thanks

I'm sorry...I meant to put this in the Twin Snakes thread, I accidently clicked on the wrong button though

Nintendo Gaming / NCAA Football 2004
« on: July 23, 2003, 06:19:34 PM »
Does anyone know the trick to catching the ball in NCAA 2004?  I love everything about this game except for this as its frustrating when a wide open receiver drops the ball.  Both of my receivers are 90 somes, so its not for lack of skill.  I've tried letting the computer do it, I've hit the "Y" button.  Nothing seems to work.  I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this, and if they know of any remedies.

Nintendo Gaming / Backwards Compatibility
« on: July 09, 2003, 07:09:46 PM »
I was just wondering how practical it would be for Nintendo to make their next console backwards compatible all the way back to the NES.  My thought is that their could be a cartridge slot on the console similar to the Game Boy Player, where NES, SNES, and N64 cartridges all fit (like how regular GB games can fit in the GBA slot).  I have no clue on how much this would cost nintendo, or how hard it would be.  I was wondering if anyone here new.  Just the thought of having a machine that could play all my NES games perfectly without me having fight to the system is awesome.

With the announcement that the Madden team will be making the new NFL Street game, what does this mean for the future of the Madden franchise?

Nintendo Gaming / The Death of a Zelda Fan: my WW experience
« on: April 14, 2003, 04:42:31 PM »
I've been playing Wind Waker here in college, and some of my friends used to see me playing and were like, this game sucks, the graphics were better in OoT, and stuff like that.  By the way, these guys had never even touched a GC controller.  Then one day I let them play it, went to class, then three hours later came back and they were still playing it, while the others were watching them play it.  Now they're hooked, and are almost through the game.  I think this proves the point that Nintendo's image is hurting them, and if they could just get people to give them a fair chance, they'd be in a better situation.

P.S.-Now my friend is thinking about buying a Gamecube.

Nintendo Gaming / Discussion: But the hero did not appear...
« on: April 13, 2003, 04:24:32 PM »
I've always thought that the alternate dimension, in which Termina and Majoras Mask occured only existed until Link passed the age where he defeated Ganon, then he returned to the real Hyrule, and main timeline.  I have no proof for this, just read it on some website, and thought it made alot of sense.  As for why the Link didn't appear and Hyrule had to be flooded, I'm not sure.

Nintendo Gaming / Modern GameCube games Need Difficulty Settings
« on: February 24, 2003, 04:49:03 PM »
I agree that games have gotten harder.  It's alot harder to beat games like SMB where you have to do everything just right, or you won't have enough lives and die.  And once you do get a game over, you had to play through the whole game again.  Now you can save your game every step of the way, and only have to beat difficult sections once, and never have to play through them again.

Nintendo Gaming / Do lack of sports game matter?
« on: February 10, 2003, 05:01:14 PM »
What do you guys think about Nintendo releasing their own sports line, much as Sega did when they lost EA's support.  I have faith in the people at Nintendo to release a great sports line, hopefully even a football series that could rival Madden.
