With the announcement that the Madden team will be making the new NFL Street game, what does this mean for the future of the Madden franchise?

Probably nothing, seeing that Madden is the best selling sports gaming franchise.  Question: Why would EA surrender that position for an un-tested game?  Answer: They wouldn't.
