is super smash brothers melee a good game for single player because many of my friends have been saying that it gets boring after a while even if you have not gotten all the trophies is it worth the buy ? well i know it will be fun for multiplayer but for single is it good?

i was reading through some of the posts and have noticed that many people have had their cubes disc drives  burn out. Does this happen to most of the cubes? or is it just a rare occurence?

IMO, the grappling system was actually pretty good for x8  because it was fast paced and you could pull of a special any time when you got it instead of having to do it when your special meter is flashing and it would run out. The game seems better when it is played at a fast pace. the only thing bad about x8 was the path of a champion mode you would sometimes battle random wrestlers for no reason at all.

has any one elses memory card message went like this it says : 'data on memory card is corrupt, formatting will erase all data'

because i was checking my memory card without putting a disk in at the menu with the calendar and was checking the contents  and when i popped a game in it said that the memory card data was corrupt.

anyone know why this happened?

the story mode in the game and better graphics might also add to the hype

the developers said that they started the wrestlers designs  from scratch

all the hype i think is just because of the added story mode
